Who's who:

"Welcome to the 75th Miss America Pagent!!!!!" The host, Ryan Seacrest, announces after the beginning song, We are who we are by Ke$ha. The crowd erupts in cheers and clapping. "Let's announce our girls." One by one each girl gets called out. A little bio is announced as well. They are escorted by their father.

"Miss Hawaii, Lalelei Anoa'i. She is an eighteen year old surfer from Kahuku, Hawaii. She inspires Marilyn Monroe, Miley Cyrus, and WWE diva Nikki Bella. And she is being escorted by Mr. Roman Regins!" The crowd is going double crazy once Ryan said my dad's name. Vince wouldn't allow him to use his real name since it's being broadcasted everywhere.

Talent:

I have been practicing this since I could sit on my own. My mom pressured me to play this song for years. But to be honest this is not my talent. I have no musical bone in my body. But at least practice does make perfect. Pianos are also so easy to master.

Questions:

"In your opinion, what is the number one issue in today's society?"

I look around for my mom. But I don't see her out in the crowd. But I see Joelle. My little sister. The little girl who looks up to me so much. She wants to be like me so much. But the pageant world is harsh. Actually today's society is even harsher.

"The number one issue in today's society is perfection. We expect every girl to look like a Barbie doll. To be there to raise the kids, clean the house, and cook us food. We expect pretty girls to be weak and dependable. If your not a 5 foot 6 bottle blonde with double dds and a size double zero, your ugly and won't make it in this world. Beyoncé says it best, pretty hurts." I answer. Everyone is so shocked. I just said the truth. And that was breaking the number one rule in pageantry. But I'm sick and tired of this life. I've only been doing these things to keep my mom happy. And so she can be proud of me. So I really don't care if I make it thru today.
