"General Griffin, I heard your wife is coming with you? Where is she?" Ito ang tinig ng isang babae kay Heneral habang siya'y abalang makipag-usap sa ilang opisyal ng AFP.

"Oh Senator Sta. Maria, kayo po pala." Magalang naman niyang saad sa Senadora na kaibigan ng kanyang ina.

"I'm sorry for not being able to attend your wedding General. I was busy working on something that time. Sana hindi ka nagtanim ng sama ng loob sakin." Pagbibiro pa nitong dagdag.

"Of course not, Senator. It's completely fine."

"I'm glad then. So, where's your wife?"

"Ah, she's on her way here." Tugon naman niya ngunit sa totoo lamang ay hindi niya alam kong pupunta ito o hindi.

"That's good then. I wanted to see her."

Tugon pa nito ngunit nag-excuse na siya at tinungo ang kinaroroonan ng Presidente at ang ilang business tycoons mula sa ibang bansa.

"General Griffin, it's nice to see you again."

"Mr. Chang, good evening. Nice to see you too."

"I heard, you got married six months ago?"

"Ah yeah, that's right."

"The last time I checked, you are single so I have told you that I will introduce my daughter to you, but you've betrayed me for getting married even before meeting my daughter." Pagbibiro ng Singaporean investor ng bansa kaya napangiti na lamang siya.

"Well anyways, where is your wife? I'd like to see the woman you have chosen over my daughter. If she's beautiful, then I will forgive you." Pagbibiro pa nito kaya napangiti siya ng tipid. "You are the judge of your own preferences, Mr. Chang." Pagbibiro naman niyang tugon kaya tumango-tango ito.

"Then, introduce me to her, is she here?"

"Ah, it's not certain that she'll come, but sure, I will let you know once she arrives."

"Okay, I'll expect that then." Tugon naman nito.

Napainom siya ng wine noong tumalikod na ito. So far, pang-anim o pang-pito na ito sa mga nagtatanong tungkol sa asawa niya simula kanina. Hindi niya rin alam, but why is everybody seems so interested in her wife. Maybe it's because some of these people are too bothered with his singleness before and they wanted to marry him off to their families for family reinforcement and for others ulterior motives kaya naman noong nalaman nilang nag-asawa na siya ay curious ang mga ito sa babaeng pinakasalan niya. Without knowing that it was never his choice to marry any of his three wives, well maybe, just the two of them because he's actually into one of them.

"General, the dinner is about to begin, where's Deanna?" Tinig ito ng first-lady na noo'y nakatayo na pala sa likod niya.

"Ah, Madam fisrt-lady, I think she'll be here any moment soon."

"Are you sure? She should come. Maraming naghihintay na makita at makilala ang asawa mo. Pati yung mga kasama natin sa lamesa ay interesadong makilala ang bagong Lady Griffin." Matamis ang ngiting saad nito kaya tumugon na lamang din siya ng pag-ngisi.

"Anyways, let us now sit down. The dinner is about to start." Saad pa ng first-lady at naupo na sa tabi ng upuan ng Presidente na noo'y abala pa sa pagkikipag-usap sa tabi.

Nasa iisang long-table lamang siya kasama ang first family, ang kanyang asawa kung darating man ito, ilang pangunahing mga bisita mula sa ibang bansa, mga matataas na politiko tulad nalang ng stepfather niyang Vice-president, at ilang mga opisyal ng AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines).
