this wasn't taehyung's first heartbreak, and it won't be the last.

it just... hurt.

over the couple of months he had been spending time with and painting jungkook, he was getting more and more reeled in; his feelings growing rapidly as much as he tried to ignore them at first.

he'd always been quick to fall in love. as a wealthy, accomplished artist, he was a catch; and the dating market was board for him. he could have whoever he wanted.

but as a hopeless romantic, kim taehyung often found himself in this position; falling for someone he couldn't have.

he always fell hard.

the large house was silent, save for the soft playing on the grand piano of his living room; the sweet melody of ludovico einaudi's experience resonating throughout the air.

taehyung found himself immersed in a symphony of emotions. each note, each chord, served as a painful reminder of the turmoil that churned within him, echoing the ache of his wounded heart.

it was a familiar melody that played on repeat in the depths of his soul, a melancholy refrain that whispered of lost dreams and shattered hopes.

for the artist, this wasn't his first encounter with heartbreak, nor would it likely be his last. despite his wealth and status as a renowned artist, he was no stranger to the bitter sting of unrequited love.

over the past few months, as he had spent time with jungkook, painting his likeness on canvas, taehyung had found himselfj drawn deeper and deeper into the young man's orbit.

and despite his best efforts to resist, his feelings had blossomed uncontrollably, weaving themselves into the fabric of his being with an intensity that took him by surprisem.

the artist had always been prone to falling in love quickly, his heart a canvas upon which he painted his deepest desires and passions. yet, he often found himself ensnared in the tangled web of unrequited affection, longing for a connection that remained just out of reach.

seated at the grand piano, bathed in the soft glow of the evening light filtering through the windows, the artist poured his anguish into each delicate keystroke.

his fingers danced across the keys with a mixture of grace and desperation, channeling his pain and sorrow into music that spoke volumes without uttering a single word.

sat on the cushioned wooden stool, his slender fingers moving delicately over the ivory piano keys with a slow rhythm. his feet worked the pedals as the final note of the piece hung in the air, and his face crumpled with anguish as he removed his hands from the keys completely.

he was miserable.

he hadn't picked up a paintbrush since that day.

and as that final note hung in the air, lingering like a melancholy echo, the dark haired man felt the weight of his emotions pressing down upon him like a suffocating blanket. he closed his tired eyes, allowing himself a moment of respite from the relentless ache that gnawed at his soul.

in that quiet, solitary moment, taehyung found solace in the music, in the cathartic release it offered. for despite the heartache that plagued him, he knew that he possessed a gift; the ability to transform his pain into something beautiful, something that resonated with the hearts of others.

and so, with a heavy heart and tear-streaked cheeks, he surrendered himself to the music, allowing it to carry him away on its bittersweet melody, if only for a fleeting moment of peace amidst the storm of his emotions.

the the melancholic melody faded into the air, taehyung sat motionless at the grand piano, his heart heavy with the weight of his emotions. the room around him was steeped in silence, the only sound the soft echo of his own breathing as he grappled with the pain of his unrequited love.

for months, he had poured his heart and soul into painting jungkook as beat as he could, each stroke of his brush a testament to the depth of his feelings. yet with each passing day, the chasm pbetween them seemed to widen, leaving the artist stranded on the shores of his unfulfilled desires.

he had tried to ignore the growing swell of emotions within him, burying himself in his work and seeking solace in the company of his few friends. but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't escape the gnawing ache in his chest, the longing for something he knew he could never have.

as he sat alone in his empty house, the weight of his loneliness pressing down on him, taehyung couldn't help but feel a sense of resignation wash over him. this wasn't the first time he had experienced heartbreak, and he knew it wouldn't be the last. but that knowledge did little to ease the pain of his shattered dreams.

with a heavy sigh, taehyung rose from the piano bench, his movements slow and deliberate as he made his way to the window overlooking the city below. the lights of seoul twinkled in the distance, a stark contrast to the darkness that enveloped his own heart.

in that moment, as he gazed out at the vast expanse of the night sky, taehyung felt a profound sense of loss wash over him. but amidst the pain and despair, there flickered a tiny ember of hope, a glimmer of light in the darkness that whispered of the possibility of healing and redemption.

and though his heart may be broken, the artist knew that with time, he would find the strength to pick up the pieces and carry on. for he was a survivor, a fighter, and no amount of heartache could extinguish the fire that burned within him.

he just hoped that he could move on as quick as possible, and accept the rejection he was given. he needed the time apart from jungkook to try and diminish the feelings in him, because he knew that one look at the younger man would only make him hurt more.

despite how much it pained him to do so.
