Chapter 31

Alixa's POV
"I'll be right back."

I started walking up to the boy and girl.

"Hey. I've never seen you before. Are you new?"

"Yeah. We just moved here."

"Ah. Cool. I'm Alixa."

"I'm Ariana and this is Alejandro."

"It's nice to meet you both. Wanna follow me? My fiancé and boyfriend are over there by my locker."

"Fiancé? Aren't you too young to be engaged?"

I shrugged. I turn around and started bringing them to my locker. Skylar and River talked to Ariana. Me and Alessia talked about baby things.

I offered to help if she needed anything.

At the end of the day, we got into Skylar's car and he drove us home. I unlocked the front door then opened it. I heard familiar little footsteps.

"MAMAAAA! DADDAAAAA!"

She ran up to us then jumped into Skylar's arms.

"Hey baby girl. How was your day?"

"Good!"

"Dadda? Pway please?"

"Awww sure."

He kissed the side of her head then she put her head on his shoulder.

"Awww princess. Let me go change really quickly. Okay?"

"Mhm!"

He put her down.

"GRANDMAAAAA!!!"

She took off running.

"I'll be back."

He changed then I changed. Skylar found Rosaria and started playing with her. I found my mom and started talking to her.

"How was she today?"

"She was very good. She didn't give me any trouble."

"That's great. Thanks again for watching her today."

"It's no problem. We had fun today."

"Do you mind watching her for the rest of the week? Misty and Stan don't have time for some reason."

"Did something happen between you?"

"I honestly have no idea."

"Have they apologized yet?"

"Oh no. Hell no."

"What about Sky?"

"He has apologized. He's just waiting for his parents to do it."

"Do you think...they will?"

"I have no idea. I think they don't think they did anything wrong though."

"That could be the case. Let's talk about something else."

"Two new students showed up today."

"Oh? Did you talk to them?"

"Yeah."

I went through my day.

"Mama?"

"Hm?"

"Snackie?"

"Sure. What do you want?"

"Animal crackers!!!"

"Wow! Good job! That's been a hard sentence for you!"

"What just happened?"

"She just clearly said something that's been difficult for her."

"Oh? And that something is?"

"Animal crackers!!"

"Great job! Do you want some animal crackers?"

"She actually does. She just asked for a snack."

"Alright baby girl. Let's go grab some animal crackers for you."

"YAY!"

She put her arms up.

"Uppie! Uppie!!"

She stood on her toes. Skylar bent down and picked her up.

"WEEEEEEE!"

He started walking away. I watched him open the snack drawer. He bent down and picked a small pack of animal crackers up.

"Don't use your teeth to open that!"

Skylar and Rosaria started staring at me.

"Hey! I don't want you to break a tooth!"

"How am I supposed to open it with one hand then?"

"Have her hold it and you open it. If she opens it, they're just gonna do all over the place."

He put the side of the snack pack in his mouth.

"Skylar Bolt-don't you dare!!"
