Alixa's POV
"Thanks. See you guys later."

They turned around and started walking away.

"H-how the hell do you do that?"

"Do what?"

"Talk to them without panicking."

"Oh! Don't get me wrong. I used to panic. I'm just used to talking to them now. It's not a big deal for me."

"You're lucky then."

"Still spending the night with me?"

"I-I guess."

"Let's head to my house then. I'm pretty sure...the weather is gonna get worse."

I wrapped my arm around her right arm.

"Off we go!"

We started walking back to my house. We got back to my house and I started saying things we could do.

"We could go see a movie? Oh! We could go to the arcade? That sounds like fun. I heard they added some new games. What's wrong?"

"You know...that I love you right? And you're like my sister?"

"Yeah. I love you too and you're like my sister too. Why? Is something wrong?"

"What if...he doesn't want to be with me?"

I wrapped my arm around her shoulder.

"Oh c'mon. Don't start thinking like that. You haven't even asked the boy out."

"I want to. I really do. I just don't know how, I should ask."

"That's easy. Just go up to him. Start a conversation and just say something like "I was wondering if you and me could go do something? Just us?" Or some shit. You're overthinking this Soph! I'm the one who's supposed to be the overthinker!"

She followed me to the guest bedroom.

"You never know...unless you try."

She sighed.

"You're right. I just don't wanna get hurt."

"Just give it a shot."

"The uh...arcade is fine with me."

On Monday, we found them by their lockers.

"Oh! They're both here!"

"C-can you ask for me?"

"Sure! Be right back."

She stayed behind while I walked up to them.

"Hey! Figure out if you're free some day?"

"Yeah. Saturday's good."

"Perfect! Any idea...what you'd like to do? Me and Soph were talking about going to the arcade. We obviously don't have to do that if you don't want."

"Okay."

"That'll work."

"Perfect! Let me know what time works. Oh! Sky?"

"Hm?"

"Sophie wants to go do something with you."

"As friends or as a date? If it's a date then...you're asking the wrong twin."

I tilted my head to the side.

"Huh?"

"I'm sorry. I'm not interested in her. River is."

My eyes widened.

"I-I'll uh...be right back."

I turned around and went back to Sophie.

"We have a possibly slight problem."

She gulped.

"Bolt isn't interested in you. But...River is."

"W-what? So all of this...didn't work? W-who's he interested in then?"

"No idea. He didn't say. He could be interested in nobody at the moment."

"Yeah. You're right."

"But...at least, River's interested right? That means something right? Maybe...you'll start to like him? C'mon. You should try to talk to him."

I grabbed her hand then dragged her over to Skylar and River.
