In the midst of the cold, pouring rain, I clutched his hand firmly as we walked towards his black Hellcat.

Kentrell pulled me in closer, his towering figure providing shelter from the harsh weather, while his strong arm encircled my waist, bringing my body close to his.

In a rush to enter the car, I swiftly hopped in, and he closed the door before taking the driver's seat.

"Dis weather got me shiverin' like a bitch" he said, his voice cracking from the cold as he quickly rubbed his hands together.

I let out a chuckle, trying to hide my chattering teeth as I wrapped my arms around myself to keep warm.

As he switched on the ignition and the warmth of the heater filled the car, I couldn't help but be in awe of the stunning interior.

The LED lights glimmered in various shades of blue, adding to the car's already impressive appearance.

"Love the interior design" I said, my gaze wandering in the dark illuminated by sparkling blue LED lights.

"Preciate it" he replied with a subtle smile as we drove off onto a dark, secluded road.

As I rested my head against the window, my eyes zoned out to the dark forest beside the road.

I couldn't help but feel a slight headache coming on as memories slowly flooded my mind.

Was everything my fault because of my childish behavior that day?

Would everything have played out differently if I had gone inside with Kentrell instead of the girls?

Maybe I took my relationship with Kentrell a bit too seriously out of selfishness.

Or maybe it was just not a good idea for me to be too close with Von.

As my mind was flooded with thoughts and memories of past experiences, I noticed my leg trembling slightly, and my heart raced a bit faster.

The sensation of warmth enveloping my hand jolted me out of my thoughts, and I realized that Kentrell was holding my hand, gazing at me with a frown.

"You good?" he asked, concern etched on his face.

I lazily nodded, slowly pulling my hand away and reclining in my seat.

I turned my head slowly to look at Kentrell and noticed faint traces of blood on his lower body and hands.

Without hesitation, I reached out and placed his hand onto my lap, causing him to raise an eyebrow as he looked at me.

I reached into my purse and pulled out a wet tissue, carefully wiping his hand clean.

I felt his eyes on me while I did it, and caught a subtle smirk on his face as I slid his ring back onto his finger.

As I was about to put his arm back, I felt his hand gently land on my thigh instead, and he quietly whispered "thanks, ma"

"No problem," I responded, gazing into his low eyes as I placed my hand on top of his with a subtle smile.

The car suddenly made a sharp turn and drove down inside the parking lot, causing me to furrow my brow in confusion.

"Where we going? "I asked, shooting him a puzzled glance as I tried to make sense of our surroundings.

"Where you think? We goin' to ma crib, duh" He replied as he smoothly parked the car into a empty spot.

"Oh... I ain't know you lived here" I said as I slowly opened the door, stepping out.
