A/N; I've been on a little ghost kick atm so here ya go, really showing my music taste here lol.

Clarisse kept playing over the same bar over and over again. Each time messing up one note, getting angry with herself and starting over. After six months of practising on bunker 9 every day before campfire, Chiron asked us to make our debate at the 'Start off summer party' in a few days.

I was sitting on my bed, going over the song order for the party, hearing my girlfriend play the same bass line repetitively. She just plucked the wrong string again, I looked up seeing her start over with a frustrated huff. I crawled over to her, resting my chin on her shoulder. "It's okay Clairbear, try practising another song then come back to it. That's what I do."

"Yeah but you're the lead guitarist and a child of the god of music." She moaned, placing her fingers back on the bass guitar. "Why did we have to start with this song though, killer queen would have been so much better."

"We voted remember, and you and Percy were the only people that voted for the killer queen. Nico, Rachel and I voted for Darkness at the heart of my love, so we're starting with that. But I've got killer queen as the grand finale, where you can shedd that bass solo."

"Don't remind me of the fact Percy and I voted for the same thing." I giggled a bit, pressing a kiss on her cheek.

"Either way you'll be amazing."

Saturday night came quickly, Percy, Clarisse, and I were tuning our guitars and figuring out amp settings. Nico was setting up the drum set, whilst Rachel set up her keyboard. Annabeth finished setting up the mic stand before she walked over to Percy. "You got this seaweed brain." She said, kissing him on the cheek, causing the son of Poseidon to blush like crazy.

"Simp." Clarisse coughed and she plugged the amp cable into her bass.

"Like you can talk, that other day you were basically drooling over Y/n during her guitar solo." Percy argued.

"That's enough from you two, let's get this started." I told them, Percy huffing at me then walking over to make sure Nico was ready. "Good luck Clairbear, the best bass player in camp."

"Good luck to you too darling, best guitarist and singer in camp." She chuckled, kissing my forehead. We walked off to our spots on the stage.

"Hey camp-half blood, you guys ready for summer!" I spoke into the mic, getting the reaction of a bunch of screaming half-bloods, high of carbonated sugary drinks.

The end of the night came quickly, everyone on stage was tired and ready to collapse. We were at the final song, killer queen. The song Clarisse was holding out for the whole night. She came centre downstage for her bass solo we added to the song. I couldn't help but blush at her confidence. There was something about watching her perform that made butterflies move in my stomach, I just loved it so much.

Clarisse finished packing up her stuff a lot quicker than me as Nico needed help with his drums. Once they were packed up Clarisse came up behind me, tapping me on the shoulder. I turned around seeing her visibly tired and sweaty from the stage lights that were on us, she looked a little too hot. "I grabbed us some food and drinks, you almost done with the little emo boy here?"

"That's a compliment for me." Nico called from the stairs he was walking down.

"Yeah we're done. Let's go." I responded with a giggle. Clarisse grabbed my hand and guided me down to picnic tables where she had two plates of food and two cans of soda set up. Most of the camp had already gone back to their cabins as it was almost 11. We sat down and ate our dinner whilst talking about the show.

"You were right about Darkness at the heart." Clarisse mumbled as she began walking me back to cabin 7.

"How so?" I teased, knowing exactly what she was referencing.

"It was the right song to start with." She mumbled again, both of us stopped walking and turning to each other. I couldn't help but smirk and throw my arms around her neck.

"Told you Clairebear." I giggled, hearing her huff as she hugged me back.
