Ayesha.

Dear diary,
Suffocation. I felt suffocated with the revelation of my grandfather's ugly truth three days ago. I loved him with my whole heart, baba did too. Then why? I am left wondering. However, I don't truly believe Karm Mahtre and I am sure he twisted the truth.

But what if not?

Then, I would erase the traces of Aditya Agnihotri from my life but that would leave me with nothing. My whole being will be erased with the-

"Chachi!" Riya's happy squeal stopped my pen from moving in my diary and I smiled at the little girl standing at the threshold of our room. Our room reminds me of my husband who left me here, ordering me to not step down from the bed.

"Hi, baby!" I closed my diary and plastered a huge smile on my face as I opened my arms for her to climb on the bed beside me

"I missed you!" She jumped in my arms instead and I chuckled caressing her hair and peppered soft kisses on the crown of her head

"Riya, Chachi is ill, get off her." Jiya followed after her daughter with a tray full of food and Riya instantly slipped beside me

"Lunch." She placed the tray before me and I blinked at her contemplating if I should ask her about Rehaan or not

"Rehaan left for some work, he said he'll be back in an hour." She answered the unasked question and my already damp mood dampened

I wanted him close to myself. I nodded as I eyed the food with no interest as yesterday's conversation played in my head on loop. Maybe, I was rude.

"Oh I forgot water..." Jiya mumbled getting up but Riya tackled her by jumping down

"I'll get plenty of water for Chachi!" She said and ran out leaving a laughing Jiya and I behind.

"Thank you, Ayesha." Jiya sat beside and I looked at her confused
"For... For keeping her safe." Her voice cracked and I chuckled and took her in a hug

"I don't know what would I have done without my baby. Thank you." She sobbed on my shoulder and I rubbed her back

"Same, she wasn't a part of this. How could I have let any harm reach her?" I whispered and she sniffled

"Are you safe?" She asked me and I nodded
"Rehaan kept me, safe." I wiped her tears and she smiled

"Aren't you talking to Rehaan?" She pulled the untouched tray of food from my lap to her own and I nodded negatively

"I am."
"Liar, there's not a day he doesn't run to you before leaving, today he didn't. Also he looked quite angry." She said and forwarded a bite for me to eat

"Oh no, that's-"
"Aren't you my sister? I can surely pamper you." She motioned me to open my mouth and I opened my mouth while the train of betrayal and hardship all my closed ones faced crossed my head

"I don't what's wrong but Ayesha, I know you're strong. You'll walk through this phase with your head held high, I know." She made me eat another bite and I chuckled
