Ayesha.

"Nisha?" I whispered as soon as she answered my call and heard her laughing on the other end

"Yes, I am sorry. Tell me?" She asked and she sounded happy, very happy.
"Where are you?" I asked, starting the engine

"At my apartment. Watching Disney, with Sharanya." She replied and I smiled yet I felt uneasy. I felt heaviness in my chest and pain in my whole body yet I couldn't get myself to cry.

"Yeah." With that I hung up. I needed my people, the ones who understood me without judging me and they were Nisha and Sharanya full stop, no one else.

It took me thirty minutes to reach Nisha's apartment and five to muster the courage to ring the doorbell and show my vulnerability to them within a minute the door opened revealing Nisha's smiling face

"Ayesha, are you alright?" She asked me and that was it. I collapsed in her arms while heart wrenching sobs tore through my throat as Nisha pulled me inside and locked the door behind

She continued to rub my back as I cried on her shoulder and soon Sharanya was there with a glass of water but Nisha didn't allow me any water instead she made me sit on the floor and removed my heels while Sharanya settled beside me to provide me another shoulder to cry.

It took minutes for my sobs to die down and tears to stop while they just hugged me till I was calm

"Wanna tell us?" Sharanya asked making me sip water herself and I nodded positively

"I was wrong.", I looked ahead without blinking and new tears fell from my eyes

"He has got no heart. No sympathy, no empathy, no love... No ki-kindness." I choked on my words and they again took me in a side hug

"Leave him." Nisha suggested and I felt unlucky, very unlucky and suddenly everything flashed in front of my eyes. My parents' death, my grandfather's death, my coldness to everyone around me, my harshness to my friends in prior years of my family's death and at last Rehaan. His everything, playfulness, caring gestures, sudden harshness and coldness. It felt like everything was biting me back.

"I am marrying him." I whispered and heard their breath hitching and I didn't have to look at them to know they had the same reaction as mine

"Why?" Sharanya asked rubbing my back and I looked at her with glassy eyes

"Because he wants me to." I whispered before I broke into another set of tears

"I don't want to marry him." I cried burying my face in my hands and brought my knees closer to my chest

"Is-is he forcing you?" Nisha asked in a low whisper and I felt my sobs halting and tears getting dried in my eyes.

"Yes." I whispered and Sharanya thundered with anger
"Stop crying like an illiterate! File a goddamn complaint against that shit head!" Sharanya exclaimed standing up and I looked at her for a dumb moment and rolled my eyes at her

"He's influential." I reasoned, of course I thought of filing a complaint against him numerous times in the past three days but I came to only one conclusion; he will suppress the police

"Drag him to the court!" She shouted and I sighed, not possible. He has connections with higher authorities. He will repress my every rebellious step. He's powerful nothing would stop him.

"He's oppressive." I replied resting my head on Nisha's shoulder and watched Sharanya pacing around, fuming in anger and hatching plans to kill Rehaan and show it as an accident.

"What are going to do now? Dance on his tunes?" Nisha questioned me in a soft whisper while Sharanya tried to convince me that I should hit Rehaan with my car and then dump him in a sewer.
