Chapter 8 - 200 Years Later

For 200 years, Klaus had been faithful to me. For 200 years we had been traveling all over the world together. For 200 years I had let Klaus control me and now I wanted my freedom, but I wasn't sure exactly how to tell him.

Klaus was out hunting right now and I was left to take care of the house while he got to go play. We use to go hunting together, but our duties had gotten in the way and we had grown apart. After years of the nomadic lifestyle we had gotten a house and contiunue to move after a few years or someone becomne suspicious because we never aged.

We were living in a small town now, not far from where I grew up and the Salvatores were still a topic of gossip around here after 2 centuries.

Over  the years, we've traveled far, and to many diverse lands, shifting into animals if we choose and we can act human or embrace the vampire side of us. Although sometimes being a vampire is annoying. Running water weakens us, Crosses, holy water, and stuff like that are all myths but the sun part is true, we burn. Without my ring or my necklace, I wouldn't be able to go out in the sunlight with out being charred to a crisp.

"Madam, you have a visitor." I heard a servant say and after thanking her I went to the library where the visitor was.

She was elegant as the last time I saw her, her long blond locks were tied in a I turned around to see a familiar face that haden't changed. Katherine. I nodded dismissal to the servant.

"Katherine." I hissed. She didn't look any older. So Katherine is a vampire and I assume she was a vampire when I met her and what my brothers meant the night I overheard their conversation.

"Isabella, what are you doing here? I came here expecting to see Klaus." She looked at me weith narrowed eyes.

"Yes. Well you see my husband is out hunting, so you are left with me." I told her as I started circiling around where she was sitting  "And how did you not know I was here? I could feel a surge of power the minute you stepped into town, I mean you may be a strong vampire but  I am more powerful than even you." I wanted to crush her and make her pay for everything, all the pain she had caused.

"Well I heard you disappeared," she said glancing at her nails. I think she was confused about me being more powerful than her. Well lets say being married to Klaus has it's advantages, his blood had special qualities because he desended from the Original Family. Plus it seemed that I was powerful as a human too, which was why Klaus was interested in me and vamparism only enhanced my qualities. "Well now you know." I smirked.

"Yes. So when will Klaus be back?" she asked. Just as she said that Klaus appeared beside me and wrapped his hands around my waist, giving me a quick kiss he smiled before facing Katherine in a serious manner.

"I was wondering when you would show, my friend."

"Yes well, here I am." the blond beauty responded.

"Yes, I haven't seen you in awhile. Especially after you left me with a mess to clean up that awful mess when you left the Salvatore brothers." Klaus must have forgotten that I am a Salvatore and when he mentioned my brothers my anger spiked. I stiffined in his arms.

"I know, but I do see you got something out of it." Glancing at me, I realized Katherine was right. I must be some trophy wife to Klaus, a pretty woman at home that warms his bed every night and takes care of the household while he goes off and does men things.

GAH! Don't they know I'm right here. Will you please stop talking like I'm not here! I mentally shouted.

Sorry Katherine quickly responded.
