I'M BACK AND IM ON FIRE

I woke up to the feeling of suffocation. I slowly sat up. I felt as if I was moving. I looked around only to see people minding their own business. Just before I asked what the time was. I saw a hostess come to announce that the plane was about to land. I managed to spot my phone and quickly checked the date. It was 20XX (The X can be replaced by any number). It then hit me.

I remembered everything. What my sister, fiance and stepmother had done to me. I looked at the phone again. I remembered that something was happening today. I asked the woman who was sitting next to me where we where going. 'Hamilton' she answered. 'Hamilton'it is a peaceful city where most rich people live. It finally came to me. Today was the day I returned home from a dark small island.

My father and stepmother sent me out of if the city to get away from the people. Because of what Riana did. Today I was going to return because the rumors quietened down. I remember that I did not want to return to the island. So I became very obedient to my parents. I did not question them and just did whatever the told me.

The plane landed. I went to go get my luggage while thinking about what I would do when I saw them. Just then a notification came on my phone. It was a message it read 'Come home immediately we will not be able to come and pick you up'. I replied with a simple OK message. I boarded a taxi . When I reached at the door I was a bit nervous to meet everyone. I entered and found that no one was home. I went to my room to lie down in the bed and started thinking. I thought of how I was here in my own body. How I was still alive. Was it possible that I was reborn. Right now I was only 20 years old. I thought back at this time.

Yes, I should be dating Matt by now. Upon thinking of this. I gritted my teeth in disgust and anger. Since I began university he began chasing me saying he was deeply in love with me. At first I had no interest in him and rejected him several times. However, in my third year. I was moved by his perseverance and agreed to date him. I then helped him build his business. I helped him find people who could sponsor his company while he went on dates with Riana behind my back. He lied to me,I dated that piece of trash, but right before I got married, well you know what happened.

In the last years of my life. Riana my stepsister made all sorts of scandals. She also created other fake stories of how I bullied her in the family for entering my life. I will not let History to repeat itself just because I was to naive. After thinking about this I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning to the sound of my ringtone. I woke up to check who it was. When I saw the caller ID my eyes were filled with tears . It was my best friend 'Tina'. I quickly answered the phone.
"Hello"
" Why didn't you tell me you were back in the city," she said angrily.
I didn't speak for a moment because it had been a long time since I heard her voice.
"Are you there?"
"Ohh! Thankyou I'm just fluttered."
"Any way let's meet later today."
"Ok." I was so excited.
"Alright, bye."
"Bye." Immediately she hung up the call their was a knock on the door.
"Yes," I answered. I was in a good mood after talking to Tina.
"Young madam, breakfast is ready."
"Ok I will be down in a minute." I went to freshen up in the bathroom then dressed up before going downstairs.

Everyone was there Riana, my stepmother (Sarah), my father (Chris) and my grandmother (Dorcas) who had come to visit Riana. In my past life I would always fear doing something wrong. I was afraid that I would be sent back to that dark island, but now everything is different. I put on a sweet smile
"Good morning everyone!" I spoke first. They just looked at me while Dorcas waved her hand. I wasn't really hurt or embarrassed so I went to my original seat which was occupied by Riana.
"Riana please move. You know this has always been and will always be my seat." I said with an innocent look on my face.
"Big sister can't you share it. It's just that ever since you left. I have been sitting here and I am very comfortable."
"Little sister that was when I was gone but now I am back." And I'm on fire but I didn't say the last part of the sentence.
"Iris can't you just let your sister sit here. Why do you like bullying her?" Dorcas asked.
"It's fine Grandma this is big sister is chair." Said Riana with crocodile tears in her eyes, moving from the chair.
"Riana you can't let iris keep bullying you like this," Sarah commented.
" Sarah I think you heard her. This is my chair. So just do your business of being a mistress while I mind my own. "I wasn't ready to be nice to her . She didn't speak and gave signals to my father and Dorcas.
"It seems you never learnt your lesson at that place." Dorcas tried to threaten.

My grandmother was never like this. She used to love me and adore me but ever since the step people entered the family. She saw me as a bully and disgrace to the family. Since she hated me I wasn't planning to make her love me because 'whoever hated me hated me ' that was now my motto.
" You are free to take me back but there's a cost," Dorcas was speechless. Chris who was just listening finally spoke "leave Iris alone. She has only been here for a day and you already want to take her back. Iris sit and takesyour breakfast." I just smiled and sat in my sit. In my past life I would change my sit to please everyone.
