The tie that binds us ✅

[EP 39] Pt 1: after

 Dunk had no idea how, what or why that Phi Bright managed to find a a private Onsen at this time of the night. But he really appreciated it as he submerged his bruised body into the warm water. This was really what he needed. Joong watched as Dunk relaxed after the violent ordeal. He doesn't know what to make of what just happened. He was just relieved that Dunk was alive after what Gawin had planned for him. Pond had fussed over Phuwin, making sure that he was not harmed in anyway. Even though the three of them were kidnapped, they had left the place unscathed. Dunk was a different story all together. He had cuts and bruises but relatively unharmed compared to his previous encounters with moonlight and Mondschein.

Pond and Phuwin looked on as Dunk rest his head on the towel by the side of the Onsen. Pond still didn't know what to make of the situation. Phi Win had mentioned that Dunk had asked for their help. They know of acquittances who had military training, who was willing to help out. He saw those men when his took off the blindfold. He can't be thankful enough that they had made sure Dunk wore a bulletproof vest in the ordeal. He wouldn't know how he would be able to survive if he didn't. But there's just something about the situation that doesn't really seem right. It somehow felt like Dunk was the person who saved them but that would mean he would have gone through combat training and where would he get such training? 

He did put on some muscle compared to before but he had mentioned he goes to gym with Phi Bright and Phi Win. He broke out of his thoughts when Dunk stood up. His scars from his previous ordeals on display. He noticed it then. There was a brand above his hip- Mondschein's brand. He felt his anger rising and he was about to ask Dunk about it when he felt Phuwin's hand on his arm. He shook his head, now wasn't the time. He sighed as Dunk left.

Dunk had wondered why Phi Win and Phi Bright weren't with them as he toweled his hair dry. It had only dawned on him when he heard Phi Win moaned Phi Bai's name from the other onsen bath. He blushed and rushed to the exit. He sat on the bench by the exit trying to calm himself down.

"Why are you this red? Did you soak in the onsen for too long?" Joong asked as he put a hand to his forehead wondering if Dunk had caught a fever. Dunk shook his head, unable to tell Joong of what he just heard. Joong had given Dunk a cold can drink from the vending machine. Dunk thanked him for it. Joong had stared at Dunk as he drank. Dunk was confused. He raised his eyebrow wondering if there was anything that Joong wanted. Dunk was surprised when Joong rushed forward to hug him. Dunk puts down the can of drink and slowly hugged him back. He didn't say anything when Joong squeezed him tighter. He just stroked his back hoping to give Joong the comfort that he needs.
