The night sky was bright. The moon full, the stars flickering softly with one another. I keep walking, Hikari beside me. I glance over noticing her, her cute self, staring down at the floor.

I snicker softly.

"So not scared my zombie awesomeness will eat you?"

Hikari rolls her eyes and glances up at me.

"No, besides...don't think you'll last long without me."

I scowl. She really did think she was some all mighty stuff, the only person who knew me. Though she was right, for her to just be so blunt about it was annoying.

"Oh don't think you all that-"

Hikari smirks, a huge mischievous self of hers showing clear.

"Oh I don't think-I know"

I roll my eyes. Silence. I didn't know what to say. I want to tell her how pretty she was and sweet. I want to tell her that she meant a lot to me. I want to tell her that I wanted to make the first stupid little move. Even though we are young, I couldn't help but want to be stupid.

Me being stupid for her though...was a just reason.

I feel a sudden touch on my hand, jolting me out of my thoughts. I glance up as Hikari quickly tugs my hand to make me follow her. I tilt my head slightly.

"Hikari-?"

She quickly raises her finger to her mouth to signal me to be quiet. I nod softly as I continue to follow behind.

Seconds later, Hikari stops. A small smile spreading across her face as she gazes at the glistening pond ahead of us. I widen my eyes.

"I used to come here all the time when I was younger...after school specifically." She whispers.

I glance over at her, taking notice in her bright eyes staring at the water. Almost as if memories told a story in her eyes. I glance back at the water.

"Was there a bigger reason to why-?" I whisper.

She stays silent a moment before speaking lowly again.

"This is where I got my quirk at. This pond right here-"

I couldn't help but smile. The smallest thing seemed to amaze her. Where she had gotten her quirk stuck with her. Still as an eleven year old.

I creep forward slightly, not even taking thought in my next move. I grab her hand softly, still keeping my gaze out towards the water.

I notice her glance down, and to my suprise, smile.

Minutes pass and silence kept over us. I suddenly glance over at Hikari, remembering the whole reason why I had wanted to leave in the first place.

"Hikari-I need..."

"...Need to get food...yah I know."

She turns slightly towards me, but keeps her gaze over the pond. She then looks up at me.

"I'm sorry...we can go-"

She begins to walk off, her hand slowly trailing off of mine. A shiver runs down my spine. I quickly follow after her, noticing that was probably my only chance to have told her anything.

I sniff the air, the gentle breeze carrying many different scents around. My eyes open once I catch a scent of a deer near. Hikari watches silently.
