"Ryu-Ryu-!"

I move my head slightly, my eyes squinting as I peer up, trying to figure out the person talking. My head pounding roughly as a sudden shake abruptly brings him into reality more.

My eyes focus quickly after now, focusing on my father. He had an angered expression, two buff hands gripping my shoulders. Mom stood behind him with her hands covering her mouth, worried.

"Look what you did-!"

I feel myself tremble as I force myself up, my head pounding more than ever now. I travel my gaze around me, it quickly landing on a broken piece of machinery lying beside me.

"I-Im s-sorry s-"

He quickly interrupts me abruptly, a harsh hard smack against the cheek. My face turns towards him, stunned as my hand softly touches where he hit.

Mom has soft tears travel down her face now as she stays silent. Watching. She held her hands over her mouth with grief.

"You know better-!"

I feel my eyes travel down in front of me, gazing at the floor. The sting of his smack still lingers.

Father quickly gets back up and scowls as he kicks the rubble machinery on the floor.

"All this time wasted-! All 'cause you couldn't do what you were told without getting into shit!"

My expression coldens slightly, my hands lying in front of me as I keep my gaze on them. I move my fingers slightly as he rambles on.

"You're such a disappointment, Ryu! Such a disappointment-!"

Mom sobs softly as she speaks up now.

"Don't say that Yamada, you're talking to our son!"

He scowls quickly turning towards her.

"Yah and?! He needs to learn! How can he go on in life if he's just a burden on others?!"

I feel myself tense...my eyes beginning to glow a bright green. The sound of mother sobbing quickly turns to a sound of concern as she points towards me.

"Ryu? Are you ok-?"

She quickly rushes past Father to my side. I keep my gaze away, but she softly lifts my chin causing my gaze to land on hers.

"Sweety-what happened-?"

An electric feeling surges through me as I gaze back at her. I was about to speak before Father interrupted once again with a cold stare.

"Doesn't matter, go upstairs. No food tonight or tomorrow. Attic...now"

I tense as I slowly turn from my mother's grip to meet my father's cold gaze. He growls lowly, a cigarette hanging from his mouth.

"Now-"

I force myself up, my body trembling. Mom covers her mouth again, soft tears trailing down her cheeks. I stiffen slightly as I give one more glance towards Father before heading upstairs out of the basement.

I quickly seep back into thoughts though as I enter the attic. I plop myself down weakly, my head pounding as I gaze at the window next to me. Bright green light reflects off. I tilt my head slightly.

Whatever had happened did something, I didn't know what. Was this the quirk thing Mom always explained? Whatever it was, it was the cause for this.

I glance back down at my hands, my hands naturally shaking slightly. But then my eyes narrow as I notice something else. My fingers were disappearing and reappearing. Almost as if...it was a Glitch.
