Chapter - 35

Abhimanyu, Niel, Akshara and Niharika are roaming the streets of Delhi to arrange furniture for Abhira's new apartment. Abhimanyu and Akshara will be living together from this new semester. Their family had already agreed to this. Harsh remained indecisive on it for some time but Akshara talked to him and made him agree to their new living arrangement.

Their new abode is a 1BHK flat which is close to Akshara's college and Abhi's hospital. He is interning with the hospital and studying for his post-grad degree there too.

"Abhi I am tired, kitna aur chalna baki hai abhi", whined Akshara.

"Akshu hum tere hi ghar ka samaan lene ke liye ghoom rhe hai. Tu abhi se itna thank gyi toh age shopping kaise hogi", said Niel.

"Niel tu thodi der chup reh. Akshu, maine kha tha na ki aaj khi nhi jate hai. Tumhari tabiyat bhi theek nhi thi. Pr tumne hi zid kri thi ki aaj hi chalenge. So, now deal with it", Abhi scolded her for throwing tantrums.

"Abhi don't scold me", pouted Akshara.

"Akshu, don't. Maine mna kiya tha na ki aaj nhi jayenge pr tum meri sunti kha ho", said Abhi. Akshu is having periods right now. She has the most painful cramps during this time. Abhi knew this, that is why he told her to cancel this shopping spree but Akshu didn't pay heed to his words. She somehow convinced him to go on shopping today only. Now, when she cannot walk Abhi is getting annoyed with her.

Akshara kept mum. She bit her lip to stop herself from crying. She knew she was at fault today so she didn't say a word. She silently moves along with them. They stopped at a shop to buy furniture for their room. 

"Bhai aap rent pr saman loge ya khareedoge", asked Niel.

"Akshu, what do you think?" asked Abhi.

"I don't know, I think renting the furniture is the better option since we have been living here only for two years. After that, we have to move back home", said Akshu after giving it a thought.

"Hmm, you are right. But let's look at some furniture for buying purpose also", said Abhi.

"Hmm, you and Niel should look for a sofa set. I will look for the bed", said Akshu slowly and moved along to find something appropriate. Abhi sighed. He held Akshara's arm to stop her from moving.

"Niel tu sofa set dekh hum ate hai abhi thodi der mai", said Abhi. He dragged Akshara to the secluded spot.

"Akshu, hum ghar wapas chale", asked Abhi softly.

"No, hum yha shopping krne aye hai, woh krke hi ghar jayenge", whispered Akshara.

"Akshu, I feel you are not well. Hum phir kabhi ayenge when you are feeling alright", said Abhi politely.

"No, humne aaj ka decide kiya tha. Toh hum aaj hi sab khareedenge", said Akshara petulantly.

"Okay, fine if you want to be stubborn about it then we will go for shopping", said Abhi frustratedly.

"Wait a minute. I am being stubborn. You are the one who is shouting at me", said Akshara loudly.

"Ohh really. Akshu, mai tumse kitni baar bola tha ki aaj nhi chalte hai shopping pr, phir kabhi chal lenge. I know how painful your cramps can get during this time so being a concerned partner I have requested you to cancel this shopping spree today. But no, when did the great Akshara Goenka ever listen to me", said Abhi.

"Wow, Abhi. Sue me, for being excited to shop for our first home together. I just want to buy everything so we can shift as soon as possible. But I didn't know that you didn't want to shift with me. It's okay I can stay in the hostel like before", said Akshara angrily.
