~Chapter Thirty-Four~

*a few hours later*

You're never gonna get me!

Watch me.

I ran as fast as I could through the trees and bushes while he ran after me. God, now I know where he got all his muscles. He's such an active wolf. I mean, we've been running around the woods for an hour or so after we left the town. I wanted to come to the beach before I left, and since he was tagging along with me, I asked him to come. After I had tied Summer to a nearby tree, he had started poking me. I swatted his hands after a few pokes, but he just continued. Then I poked him back and scurried away from him. He kept following me and I ended up running away from him. I had left my bag with Summer, so I couldn't go too far. But he just kept trying to get me!

Long story short, we ended up shifting and running into the woods, playing tag. Or well, he was trying to get me.. I wasn't planning on getting him. I knew, for once, if he got me, there was no need to go after him because once he got me, he wouldn't let go. And I secretly was wanting that to happen...

You know you can't run away for ever! He said into my mind and I laughed in our heads.

Now it's my turn to say watch me..

But right when I was about to say it, I tripped from a tree branch and fell face first on the ground. I let out a squeak and then held my paw with the other one. It hurt... Crap, I think I injured it.

Ken stopped on his tracks but quickly made his way to me.

Are you okay? He asked me but I let out a low howl of pain. He sniffed my paw and I let out another squeal. Does it hurt too much? Can you move it?

I tried moving it, but it just hurt a little bit. Still, I'm too much of a pussy to move it anymore.

Just a little bit... I muttered and he chuckled, licking my paw in process. I blushed and thanked god I was in my wolf form. Otherwise, he'd see it... and that'd be embarrassing..

He stopped and looked at me. I looked into his still blue eyes and he just did that stare at me. I couldn't see his expression for we were in our wolf form, but his eyes spoke louder than words...

Do you remember what happened when you were in Ludwig? He asked me and I licked my mouth. I looked down at his chest and just moved my head.

Kind of... I answered and he laid down on the ground next to me. He rested his head against his big paws and just stared at me with his blue eyes. God, he's just gorgeous... I can't believe I dreamt with him all this time...

Do you know why I was there? He asked me and I shook my head. I was looking for you.

I scoffed in our minds and gave him a weird look. But only jokingly.

Stalker, much? I asked and he laughed.

Maybe. He said and gave me a toothy dog smile.

Did my parents send you? I asked and he shook his head.

Not really. I did this by my own count. He said and I just watched him. They had tried looking for you on their own, but came up empty. They set up banners, posters, announcements on the newspapers; they tried so much but it never really came to anything since you weren't around Ludwig anymore. After a few years, I decided to investigate on my own. I tracked down the people that helped you and little by little found the missing pieces. Still... I couldn't find you. You were too far...
