(PVRIS - Ghosts)

The heavy metal music beat loudly against the windowless brick walls. People dressed in black wearing the weirdest outfits swayed to it and participated in all sorts of activities held in the club. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Or well, most of them...

He kept his eyes looking around the crowd as he sat on one of the stools in the bar. Her scent was strong, but she was nowhere to be seen. It had him at unease. He took a sip of his beer and turned around on his seat. He needed to see her as soon as possible. His heart ached already.

"Hey, handsome." A female voice caught him off guard, but he just brushed her off. She wasn't who he was looking for; she wasn't his girl.

"Not interested." He said as she groped on his bicep. He hated when women would do this. It annoyed him. Especially since he made it quite clear that he didn't want any of them. Yet they seemed to not get the message and be persistent. It was annoying.

"Aw, but why not?" She whined as he pulled away from her claws. "I could keep you company..." She purred but he just sighed out in frustration. He was about to tell her something, when he felt her presence near him. He looked to the side and saw her walking into the club. His heart throbbed and stammered hard against his chest. That was who he wanted company from. Not some freaky chick that didn't seem to get no for an answer.

He watched her walk into the bar area with a couple of people that seemed to be with her. They were all chatting and giggling non-stop. She looked a bit dull, but to him, she looked as beautiful as ever.

He took another swing of his beer and was about to walk over to her, when someone clawed him back to them. Oh, he almost forgot about the crazy lady.

"Where are you going?" She cried and he pulled away from her.

"Away from you." he snarled and walked over to his girl. A smile quickly spread across his face when he got closer. He watched how one of her friends, a red-head with whiskers, whispered something in her ear and looked at him. He smiled even wider and she looked to the side. Her eyes narrowed and he just stood in front of her. "Hey,"

She stared up at him and he watched her face turn red. Her eyes looked directly into his blue ones and he saw how her pupils dilated. His heart seemed to long her... and his expression seemed to express it since he seem taken aback when her cat-like friend spoke.

"Hey!" She said with a smile and he looked at her briefly. He nodded and gave her a polite smile. "Who are you?"

He watched how she blinked and seemed at loss of words. Her cat-like friend gave her a smirk and then looked back at him. He couldn't read her thoughts, but he could understand why she looked at her like that. And he liked it. Because it was because of him.

"I'm Ken." He said confidently and smirked when her eyes bulged out. Maybe she just realized who he was... And that made him smile. He hoped she already knew. But now he understood that she didn't.

"Well, hello, Ken." The cat-girl said and smiled at him. "You're friends with Innocence, I suppose?"

He just shrugged and looked down at her. She seemed paler than usual and that started to worry him. She seemed a bit off and he was now regretting saying who he was. Did it affect her that much? He thought it was something good. But isn't it? To finally find your long lost mate? Didn't she feel the same? He doubted she wouldn't. They're mates. It's supposed to happen naturally. Still... something was just not right...

"Are you okay?" Cat-girl asked her, but she just shook her head. Whether saying she was or not, but she was clearly not okay. And he was getting really worried.
