[Note: I've waited a few months before deciding to publish this, including the original "description," which follows.]
As 2020 has drifted into 2021, I perceive that the USA is sharply divided. Moreover, one person is getting much (maybe most) of the blame.
At first, it's more convenient to blame leaders than to blame followers. Then it becomes, "Us versus those turkeys." Thing is, Washington DC is "back east." Almost a world removed from my awareness. And am I one of the "turkeys?"
I'm left thinking that all that I can control is my own attitude. But what is my attitude? And how can I help heal a nation that's become a house divided against itself?
This, then, is a place for me to post a series of "literary selfies." My witness of the times we live in.
