"Toxin wolves?" My father felt his jawline.
I told them everything but not the part that I have kept the person who had created the toxin.
"This explains alot of things." My mom said with worry.
I walk around the room suddenly hoping that Carlos got closer to the cure. I already thought what to do.
"Best we evacuate the people here and take them somewhere else from more harm." I suggested my father did not agree to that.
"If you do that,they will know your hiding something from them. Besides Kane where are you going to take them mmmm?" He asked at this point I couldn't help but grunt.
"What I'm I suppose to do?! Just sit here and watch our people get infected?! This action has to take other measures,all because of this,I lost my Beta,I made his mate die in my care when Iris was going to have a pup." I punch the wall with energy and my mom quickly stopped me from going further.
"Mom,I don't know what to do. I'm just in pressure every single fucked up day." She felt my cheek as I gazed in her eyes.
"I know sweetheart,being Alpha is tough and heretic sometimes but that doesn't mean you should give up." She advised me.
She lightly kissed my forehead and smiled.
"Come on your a big boy now,you can handle this for sure. It's just a loose that Iris died with her pup." She said when she let go of me and I stood straight.
"Will think of something to evacuate the people... In the mean time take care of your mate and will issue a request from other packs for shelter." My dad spoke when he got up from the couch,I can always count on them.
Suddenly my angel woke up from her sleep. She got down stairs and she looked beautiful like flower.
"Morning." She smiled and my mother looked very overwhelmed to see her.
"Morning dear...You must be hungry." She said to her when my wonderful mate stood besides me,I pull her waist to my side and I lightly kiss her cheek.
"Indeed,did I miss anything?" She asked. "No love,I was just telling them about the toxin that was hurting people." She nods and I didn't want to worry her so I had suggest we have breakfast instead.
Few hours later,my parents left and I over heared my Mon telling my mate she should good to me and wanted a pup soon,now the pressure got real and I senced she kind of felt uncomfortable when they got deep in there talk that I decided to prepare the fucked up after noon. When they left I suggested we heared over to the pack labs and finally find out about that prick Deacon, just thinking about him left me in disgust.
"I'm ready!" I hear Alya come out from the house with a peach dress and some sneakers on. She looked tempting to grab and make that tvoice scream out my name.
"You look beautiful." I said. "You look hot." I surprisingly blushed at her compliment when I was naked ready to shift in my wolf.
"Don't make me smash that little core of yours love." I growl at her and she laughs. I wasn't joking.
"Romancing later,let's get to our duties Alpha." She stood holding a pair of shorts for me. But I was some how concerned when her heats will strike on her...I just needed to do things quick before it torturers her.
I shifted into my wolf and she got on me. "Please run at normal speed." She begged and I wiggle my ears. I run at normal speed,trembling the ground with my rough paws when I didn't hear my mate complain this time,I could only hear her steady heartbeat.
I don't know when I was truly going to her that it was possible she could be like me,I imagined what it would be like if she ran besides me as a wolf and we both howl at the moon together in the cold night,and do wolf stuff,Rex really wanted that and I wanted that too but I don't think she would want that right? Being like me when she already hates seeing me in wolf tantrums.
Maybe she was happy how she was.
"Kane!" Alya screamed when my focus returned but when I looked to my left,a car suddenly hit my rib cage and it sent me off balance and I land on the road side like a distance away.
Fuck! I almost blacked out when I heared my mate cry.
"Kane get up! Wake up!" She yelled and I found myself getting up to my four paws when I was off my mate.
I growl at the sudden car that just had the nerve to hit me. I stand tall and let my front leg cover my mate up when she stood behind it. I couldn't see why was in there but the scent of blood filled my nostrils.
Two more cars surrounded us and men got out pointing there guns to me,this is not good.
My claws grow out and my eyes glow more when I saw the car plate FDA 221,it was the Forest Defense Agency. How did they know this place,worse how did they get in? If there dare lay harm to my mate. I will kill them all.
"Hold on don't shoot!" My mate yelled at them. I almost snapped when one guard got close to me.
"You heared her! Don't shot!" A female voice instructed and she got out from the car that hit me.
It was Amanda Lizzy who spoke out. She looked injured and hurt when I saw a scar across her face. Something was wrong and that what led her here.
"We are not here to hurt you Madam nor your wolf. I'm looking for Mr. Kane Lockwood." She asked.
The only dumb thing she didn't realize was that I was right in front of her. This was my time to finally suprice my mate.
"Tell her I'm here." I linked Alya and she lost her breath when she looked at me. Once your mark a human mate,they unlock the mind link no harm included.
"How I'm i-" I growled at her. "Questions later,just tell her I'm here,somethings off." I told her but she hesitated.
"But your hate to humans..." She lowered her voice.
"I know but just do it." I gently tell her.
She stood aside from me and took one breath and glared at Amanda.
"Your speaking to him." Her voice loud and clear that the guards almost laughed.
"Is this some kind of joke?" She felt disappointed. My mate hissed at her.
"It's not a lie. This wolf your seeing is Kane and please this is just no ordinary wolf...his an Alpha,so I suggest you respect him all he may eat your heads off." She threatened her and I was fucking loving her threat.
"Or maybe your prefer more to wolves to come here?" I growl just to defend her statement and Amanda shivered.
"Apologies Alpha Kane." She bowled her head. Much better.
"Ask her what's she wants." And my mate nods and did what I requested, Amandas words left me shocked.
"We need your help."
