And before I knew it...The days turned into months, and the months into years.
(4 years later)
"Uhh.........So, you want me to choose one of you to marry?"
"Yep!"
"Yes."
"Y-Yes."
3 girls were in front of me, all asking me to marry them. One of them was my own Goddess, who confidently stuck out her breast. The second was the cool beauty Ais who still hadn't lost any color of her golden blond hair. And lastly was the nervous Lyu, who looked like she might pass out at any moment.
I had already decided on an answer though, one I had decided four years ago from now.
"I'm sorry...But I don't think I can accept any of you. At least not for right now." They all wore different expressions of shock, but before anyone could scream out, I spoke up, "I want to go exploring around the world for a little while. I want to try and focus on becoming a better person before I commit myself to a relationship."
I fully bowed, and I expected some harsh words, but none of that came. Instead, Hestia had a large grinning smile, Ais was stoic except for a slight blush, and Lyu was still visibly shaking from nerves.
"That's good then! If you had given an answer for one of us, two others might have killed ya!"
"Huh...?"
"You see, we all came to an agreement. That if you were to choose one of us, then that person was to get the right to marry you. But then Hermes said that we should have it so if you decide to leave, just have all 3 of us marry you anyway since our hearts were already deadlocked onto you."
"Wait...Are you serious?! I just said that I planned on leaving to go away for like, a long time! Like, a few years at most!"
"And we'll wait the whole time." Ais finally joined in, "So, when you come back you will have these options. 1, leave everything as it is and marry all three of us, or 2, marry only one of us with the other two hunting you down for the rest of your life."
"A-And option 3-"
"There is no option three," Lyu said very suddenly.
'D-Damn you, Hermes!'
I decided to leave it be while I left, and when I left Orario, I made sure Hermes got a piece of my mind, but afterward, I explored the world for a solid 4 years.
When I finally returned, I was 24 and looked way taller than I had. Other than that though I was roughly the same.
And right when I came back, everyone, Ais, Hestia, and Lyu were all still waiting for my answer.
"Well...I thought about it. And, if you guys all agree that you are all fine marrying me, then I will not object to it."
I loved them all. That was one of the many things I realized while traveling. I know it was selfish and incredibly greedy, but if they all agreed to it beforehand...It should be alright.
"Sounds good!" Hestia gave a peace sign with a wide smile.
Ais nodded several times as if hyping herself up.
Lyu fell over while muttering, "I-I thought he wasn't going to choose me..."
I let out a sigh as I looked at all of them. I had the option on the way back home to stop by the mountain where the dragon was killed, but I decided not to.
I know that in the future, I still have a lot of things to do and a lot of things I need to make up for people. So, I'll keep working hard for that while living my best life.
One that makes me, as well as everyone around me happy
(Done)
Thank you all for reading! I really hoped you enjoyed this story, and I had a ton of fun writing it as well. Down bellow are going to be some of my overall thoughts about the story, so if you have any criticism or complements please let me know!
Firstly, I think as a character Bell was good. However, I didn't get into other characters as much as I would have liked. I think that I need to not focus too much on the main character, and work with everyone. For example, I had planned to have other members of the Hestia familia much for active than they were, but I just didn't fit them into the story the way I had wanted, and they just kinda were there.
Secondly, I think the story while I was following the source material was very good. However, right after the Juggernaut arc was a bit of a disaster. I had an overall general idea of what I wanted to do, and I didn't do as I had planned. However, I do think the dragon arc was good, as well as the conclusion
Lastly, I think that overall when I write stories that go on for a while like this one and King of Greed, I tend to get too much into thinking about events and not how to build them up. There were a lot of things that just happened without much cause.
So please, if you have anything you'd like to add, please let me know, but with all that said, I really do hope you enjoyed the story, and thank you so much for reading!
