Kai

As Angelina stirred awake, I couldn't help but smile at the sight of her. She looked so peaceful in her sleep, and I felt a rush of gratitude that she was back with me. My hand instinctively moved to her belly, where our child was growing, and I felt a surge of love and excitement for the little life growing inside her.

But my thoughts were interrupted when I saw Angelina suddenly bolt to the bathroom. I immediately followed her, concern etched on my face. I held her hair back as she threw up, my heart aching for her discomfort. I knew that morning sickness was a common part of pregnancy, but it still pained me to see her feeling unwell.

When she was done, she rubbed her face and then quickly brushed her teeth. Despite her discomfort, she managed to smile at me, and I couldn't help but be in awe of her strength and resilience. I leaned in and kissed her tenderly, my love for her growing with each passing moment.

"Are you feeling okay?" I asked, my voice filled with concern.

She nodded, though I could see the exhaustion in her eyes. "Just a little morning sickness," she said, trying to downplay it.

I reached out and brushed a strand of hair away from her face. "You don't have to be strong all the time, Angel," I said softly. "You can lean on me, you know?"

She smiled gratefully at me and nodded. "I know," she whispered.

I pulled her into a gentle embrace, holding her close to me. "I'm here for you, always," I whispered into her ear.

As we stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with love and gratitude. I was so grateful that she had come back to me, that she had chosen to share this journey of parenthood with me. I knew that being parents would bring its own set of challenges, but I also knew that together, we could handle anything.

"I love you, Angel," I said, kissing the top of her head.

"I love you too, Kai," she replied, her voice filled with emotion.

With our love and determination, I knew that we could face anything that came our way. And as we prepared to welcome our child into the world, I knew that our love story was just beginning, and I couldn't wait to see what the future held for us.

As we lay on the couch, Angelina suddenly called my name, and I turned to look at her. Her face was lit up with excitement, and she placed my hand on her belly. "The baby is kicking," she said with a smile.

I felt a surge of awe and wonder as I felt the gentle movements beneath my hand. It was an indescribable feeling, knowing that there was a little life growing inside her, a life that was part of both of us.

But then, she looked at me with a mischievous glint in her eye and said she had forgotten to mention something about our baby. My curiosity piqued, I asked her what it was.

She hesitated for a moment, teasing me, and I leaned in closer, urging her to tell me. She laughed, and the sound was like music to my ears. I had missed that laughter so much.

Finally, she whispered in my ear, "It's a unicorn."

I burst out laughing, unable to contain my amusement. "A unicorn?" I chuckled. "You're just messing with me."

She shook her head, still grinning. "Okay, fine, it's not a unicorn," she said playfully.

I raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to tell me the truth.

"It's a... girl," she whispered, her eyes shining with happiness.

My heart skipped a beat at her words, and a rush of joy washed over me. A daughter. We were going to have a daughter. I couldn't think of a more perfect gift.

"A girl," I repeated, my voice filled with awe. "Our little girl."

Angelina nodded, a soft smile on her lips. "Yes, our little girl," she said, her hand resting on her belly protectively.

I leaned in and kissed her gently, my heart overflowing with love for her and our unborn daughter. "I can't wait to meet her," I said, my voice filled with excitement.

"Me too," she said, her eyes shining with love. "I can't wait to see her with her daddy."

As we lay there, my hand still resting on her belly, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with happiness. Our little family was growing, and I couldn't wait to embark on this new chapter of our lives together. And no matter what challenges and adventures awaited us, I knew that as long as we were together, we could face anything that came our way.
Later that day, I watched as Angelina busied herself in the kitchen, making some of her weird craving food. She had a mix of pickles, ice cream, and chocolate syrup, all combined into a bizarre concoction. I couldn't help but tease her about it, raising an eyebrow and asking, "Are you sure that's edible?"

She shot me a playful glare. "Oh, come on, it's not that bad! You have to try it," she said, holding out a spoonful of the strange mixture.

I chuckled, shaking my head. "I think I'll pass on that one," I replied, not too eager to taste the peculiar combination.

Angelina rolled her eyes but then turned around, a mischievous grin on her face. She walked up to me and wrapped her arms around my neck, pressing her belly against me. "Well, you better get used to weird cravings because our little girl is going to be making them too," she said with a wink.

I smiled, placing my hands on her belly and feeling the gentle movements of our unborn daughter. "I can handle weird cravings as long as I have you and our baby," I said, pressing a kiss to her shoulder.

She playfully pushed me away, pretending to be unaffected by my affectionate gesture. "Don't go all lovey-dovey on me," she teased, but I could see the hint of a smile on her lips.

I pulled her closer, kissing her cheek. "You know you love it," I said, nuzzling her neck affectionately.

She laughed, and I felt a sense of contentment wash over me. It had been a difficult few months without her, but now that she was back in my arms and carrying our child, I couldn't ask for anything more. Our love was stronger than ever, and I knew that together, we could face any challenge that life threw our way.

As we stood there in the kitchen, wrapped in each other's arms, I knew that our little family was complete. Our daughter was a blessing, and I couldn't wait to welcome her into the world and show her all the love and happiness we had to offer.

With Angelina by my side, I knew that the future was bright, filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising our daughter together. And no matter what obstacles or weird cravings came our way, I was confident that our love would always prevail.
