A few months have passed

Kai

A few months had passed, and Liliana's pregnancy was in its final stages. Her belly had grown significantly, and she was now ready to give birth at any moment. As for Angelina, she had returned to her penthouse, much to my dismay. I missed having her by my side, waking up to her scent and her radiant smile. But she insisted on having her own space, and I respected her decision, even though it left me longing for her presence.

Today, I was sitting in the living room, feeling a bit bored and restless. Liliana was in the kitchen, preparing something to eat, while Nicholas watched her closely to make sure she wasn't overexerting herself. It was an exciting yet anxious time for all of us, waiting for the arrival of the new addition to our family.

Just then, the front door swung open, revealing Angelina standing there. She had a new haircut, and her hair was a bit shorter than before, but she looked stunning as always. My heart leaped with joy at the sight of her, and I couldn't contain myself any longer. I quickly stood up and rushed over to her, scooping her into my arms and kissing her passionately.

"Angelina, you're back," I whispered, my voice filled with emotion. "I missed you so much."

She smiled and wrapped her arms around my neck. "I missed you too," she replied, her voice soft and warm.

I held her tightly, cherishing the feeling of having her in my arms again. Her presence brought a sense of comfort and happiness that I couldn't explain. I pressed my forehead against hers and whispered, "I love you, Angelina. I'm so glad you're here."

She smiled and kissed me again. "I love you too, Kai," she said, her eyes sparkling with affection.

As Liliana and Nicholas joined us in the living room, they both greeted Angelina with smiles and hugs. Liliana patted her growing belly and said, "Looks like someone wanted to make a grand entrance."

Angelina chuckled and gently touched Liliana's belly. "I can't wait to meet the little ones," she said.

Nicholas grinned and said, "You'll be an amazing aunt, Angelina."

We all spent the day together, catching up and enjoying each other's company. It felt good to have Angelina back with us, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and bond we shared. As the day went on, I knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together as a family.

Later that evening, as Liliana and Nicholas headed to bed, Angelina and I remained in the living room. I pulled her close to me, not wanting to let her go. She rested her head on my shoulder, and I whispered, "Stay with me tonight."

She looked up at me, her eyes softening. "Okay," she said, a hint of a smile on her lips.

I led her to our bedroom, and as we lay together, I held her tightly, feeling complete with her by my side. I knew that no matter where life took us, as long as we had each other, we could overcome anything that came our way. With Angelina in my arms, I felt a sense of peace and contentment that I had never known before. And as we drifted off to sleep together, I knew that our love would only grow stronger with each passing day.

We were jolted awake in the middle of the night by the sound of loud voices echoing through the house. Angelina and I quickly got out of bed, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. As we rushed downstairs, we found Nicholas running through the house, clearly flustered.

"What's going on?" Angelina asked, still half-asleep.

Nicholas turned to us, his eyes wide with anticipation. "Liliana's water broke. The twins are on their way," he said, his voice filled with excitement.

Angelina's eyes widened, and she quickly became fully awake. "Oh my goodness, really?" she exclaimed.

Nicholas nodded, a smile spreading across his face. "Yes, it's finally happening," he said.

We all waited anxiously as Liliana went through labor. The atmosphere in the room was tense, yet filled with anticipation and joy. It felt like time had slowed down as we waited for the arrival of the twins.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the moment arrived. Liliana gave birth to two beautiful babies, a boy and a girl. My heart swelled with happiness as I saw them for the first time.

Liliana beamed with pride as she held her babies close to her. "Meet Karson and Alannah," she said, her voice filled with love and awe.

Angelina and I were in awe of the little ones. They were tiny and perfect, and I couldn't help but feel a rush of emotions at the sight of them.

Liliana then turned to Angelina, offering her a chance to hold little Alannah. However, Angelina hesitated, her tiredness evident in her eyes.

"What if I drop her?" Angelina asked, her voice tinged with worry.

I smiled and reassured her, "You won't drop her, Angel. I'll be right there to help you."

Reluctantly, Angelina reached out and held Alannah in her arms. As she cradled the baby girl, a soft smile appeared on her lips. I could see the mixture of awe and fear in her eyes as she gazed at the tiny bundle in her arms.

"You're doing great," I whispered to her, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.

Angelina nodded, still slightly nervous but also amazed by the experience. She rocked Alannah gently, and the baby girl let out a small yawn, making Angelina chuckle softly.

As the night turned into early morning, we all took turns holding and admiring the new additions to our family. Karson and Alannah brought so much joy and happiness into our lives, and we couldn't have been more grateful for their presence.

In that moment, surrounded by the people I loved, holding my precious children in my arms, I felt an overwhelming sense of love and contentment. Our family had grown, and I knew that the bond between all of us would only strengthen as we embarked on this new chapter together.

As the sun began to rise, casting a warm glow over the room, we all settled down, tired yet blissfully happy. Liliana and Nicholas had become parents, and Angelina and I were now proud aunt and uncle to two beautiful babies.

As we all drifted off to sleep, I knew that our lives had forever changed, and the future held so much love and happiness for us all. And as I held Angelina close to me, I whispered, "I love you, Angel. Our family is complete."

Angelina smiled sleepily and whispered back, "I love you too, Kai. And I'm so glad to be a part of this family."
