A couple of days later we landed in Hungary. It would be my first day and I couldn't deny that it made me nervous.
Lando and I didn't talk about what happened anymore, which wasn't good, we had to talk about what happened.
I had a lot of questions, so he probably had too.
But we both just tried to forget it, we both wanted to act if nothing happened.
"Text me when you need me" Lando squeezed my hand as we stopped in front of the Red Bull hospitality, my new work place.
"I will" I nodded with a smile. He returned the smile before he pressed his lips against mine.
Christian was waiting for me and so was Max. He was standing in the corner of the hospitality, smiling.
I kinda expected that he still didn't fully trust me, but I guess he just wanted to forget it too.
Everyone wanted to forget it but I couldn't.
I just could not.
Christian was nice enough to show me around and told me I could just follow Max around.
I thought I would do some marketing work but they changed their mind for now because they desperately needed a PR manager.
The previous one went away on maturity leave, so I had to replace her for now.
But I had to admit that following Max wasn't too bad. He was quite funny.
"Are you okay?" Max asked as we both sat down in the hospitality.
He put a plate of food in front of me.
I shrugged my shoulders. "You don't like the job?" He asked which made me chuckle a little.
He was too nice.
"I do, I very much do. It's just.." I couldn't explain, I didn't even know what was wrong.
"Lando?" He asked softly.
It was probably the best summary of my feelings.
"The guy loves you, he's so in love with you. I never saw him like this before" Max casually said as he grabbed two cans of Red Bull.
"But what if he likes Jamie?" I sighed, grabbing the Red Bull.
"He doesn't. He thought it was you, we all thought it was you" so he kinda admitted that she acted the same way.
"Would you recognize the way Kelly kisses in the dark? Would you know if it was her?" I asked.
He seemed hesitant to answer that question, probably because I wouldn't like it.
"I would but Aimée, you can't blame him. She looks exactly like you. He probably thought you were just a bit off" he answered a little bit annoyed.
"So you have two choices. Stop whining about it or do something about it" he didn't raise his voice, he didn't seem annoyed. He just said it as if it was the most normal thing.
He was right. I had to leave it, for now. I had to forget about it until summer break.

Lando and Kara were waiting for me outside the Red Bull hospitality.
They were talking and laughing together. A few months ago, I suspected them to like each other but I was so dumb.
They both looked at me as soon as I walked out. "How was your first day?" They almost asked at the same time.
"Perfect, they were all being so nice" they both seemed happy to hear that.
I had this eerie feeling when Lando kissed me, not because of him, but because I had the feeling someone was watching us, watching me.
"Let's go baby?" Lando asked as he grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.
"I will text you" I quickly looked at Kara who nodded and waved at us.
"So Max was nice to you?" Lando said as we walked outside the paddock.
"Very nice, he's cool" I said as I looked around. There was no one there, but why did I have a feeling there actually was someone?
Someone worse than Jamie?
