A couple of days later, I was standing behind the register of the store.
It was a pretty easy day, not many customers complained, there weren't many customers in general.

Liam has been texting me, non stop. Telling me I made an impression on his boss. I didn't care at all, I just wanted him to shut up, only a few more weeks and I would be graduating.
Only a few more weeks I had to be nice.

"Hi sunshine" someone shook me out of my thoughts. It was Lando.
A smile immediately appeared on my face, even though I also felt bad.
He was back in Monaco for a few days now but I told him I didn't feel great so I stayed at my apartment.
It wasn't a lie, I was feeling like crap but I was also too scared to face him.
"Hi Lando, are you having a party?" I asked as I scanned his things.
He bought a couple bottles of wine, snacks and other drinks.
"Not really, we are just gonna chill on Charles' yacht. When are you off?" He looked at me as he grabbed his wallet and paid for his things.
"4pm" only a couple more hours, I was so ready to be done today. "Okay, then you are coming too" he smiled as he brushed his hand over mine.
Softly and carefully because I was not ready to tell the world we were dating.

He didn't say anything else, he didn't wait for my answer. He just winked and walked out of the store.
I sighed a little. Not because I didn't want to be with him but because he was so nice, sweet and perfect and I was.. myself.

"It's 4pm and we are off, let's go to this boat party" Josh said as he looked at me. How did he know about that?
I looked at him, confused. "Your boyfriend invited me as well" he looked proud and it made me love Lando even more. He probably knew it would me make feel more comfortable when Josh was around.

We both walked to the docks, Charles' yacht was pretty easy to spot.
"You go first" Josh said as we got on his yacht. I've never been on a boat, let alone on something like this.
It was so luxurious. "I am so happy you guys are here" Kara said as she walked to us with a big smile on her face.
Of course she was here as well, she was his 'girlfriend'. "Champagne?" She asked as she walked to the back of the yacht with us.
There were a couple of people sitting on the edges of the yacht but Kara was more interested in the bottle of champagne.
She grabbed it out of the ice bucket and grabbed three glasses.

All three of us sat down together. "My two best friends are both dating a F1 driver. I can get used to this" Josh laughed as he sipped from his drink.
"And to this" he pointed at the glass of champagne.
Kara and I both looked at each other and laughed.
"So where are the guys?" I asked. Lando invited me but I haven't seen him anywhere.
But she didn't need to answer because Lando, Max and Charles walked on the yacht in that exact moment.

Charles leaned over to Kara to kiss her. So they were even pretending to be dating in front of his friends?
Did Lando know that they weren't dating for real?
"Hi Josh" Lando greeted Josh before turning his attention to me. "Hi baby" he said while leaning over to me and pressing his lips against mine.
"Mmm champagne" he licked his lips after kissing me.
I just chuckled a little.
"Hi Aimée" Charles nodded, so I did the same. A quick nod. It was awkward because I knew that he wasn't dating my best friend for real.
He was using her, even though she agreed with it, I knew she was gonna be the one who would end up with feelings. I knew this agreement was gonna break her, just like the agreement between Lando and I broke us.

Lando titled his head as he looked at me before holding out his hand. "Can I steal you away for a quick second?" I nodded as I put my hand in his and walked with him.
"What's wrong?" He asked as we were both holding the railing of the yacht.
"Nothing why?" I asked. I just looked straight in front of me. I was afraid I would break down if I looked at him.
"You're acting different" he put his hand on my cheek to turn my face to his. "Did I do something wrong?" I shook my head as I looked down again.
I hated that he thought it was him, but it was all me.
I did something wrong, I felt guilty.
I bit my lip to hold back the tears that were desperately trying to come out.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me with him. "Where are we going?" I asked as I followed him. "We are leaving"
