I woke up with a terrible headache the next morning. Not because I was hungover, but because I realized I was in deep trouble.
He wanted me to go to one event together, probably a dinner with his boss.
One dinner for 3 years of hard work.

I threw my phone on the bed. I hated myself for doing this but I felt as if I had no choice.
Knowing Liam, he would not hesitate to ruin everything for me.

Should I tell Lando? He was gonna be mad, he was gonna try and talk me out of it.
Lando wouldn't be back for a couple of days so he wouldn't know if I did this.
It was only one night, one evening. It didn't mean anything.

It was 5pm and he was way too early. He was making himself comfortable in my apartment.
I hated that, I hated that he still felt comfortable in my place.
"Why are you so early?" I said as I rushed back to the bathroom.
I wanted to put some clothes on as quickly as possible. "I couldn't wait to see my date" he yelled from the living room.
I rolled my eyes. This was gonna be such a long night.

I put my dress on and walked back to the living room.
Liam was sitting on the couch and immediately looked at me.
"You look beautiful" he said as he got up and walked to me. He wanted to put his hand on my cheek but I quickly took a step back. "Thanks but no touching, kissing or whatever" this was not a real date, it was a fake date so we didn't need to do all those things.
"We have to touch a little you know? Otherwise they won't believe us" he put his hand out to me, waiting for me to grab it.
"We will do that when we have to" I said as I walked passed him, out of my apartment.

We drove to a pretty fancy restaurant and we walked in holding each other's hands.
I hated this.
He introduced me to the other guys in suit and ties. Probably his boss and some other colleagues.
All I had to do was smile. Liam told me his boss wouldn't ask me any questions, he never asked the dates questions or even talked to them.
I hated him already.

"So Aimée, what do you do?" His boss turned his attention to me. Even Liam was surprised by that. "I work in a store and I'm finishing college in a couple of weeks" If your idiot employee isn't gonna interfere with that.
"Working and studying at the same time, impressive" he nodded his head. He wasn't being sarcastic. I looked at him and smiled as I grabbed my glass.
I wasn't looking to impress him. I couldn't care less about him, his entire company or his employee who was sitting next to me.
Liam put his hand on my thigh and smiled at me.
I let him, I wasn't gonna start drama here but I wish it was Lando's hand.
I wish Lando was sitting next to me.

How was I gonna explain this to him? 'Hey I went on a date with my ex because I did some stupid things in the past'
He must think I'm the worst. He let me stay in his apartment, opened his life to me and the first weekend he was gone, I went to dinner with my ex.

It was fucked up, but I had to do this. I used to be such an idiot but I was desperate.
I had no one to turn to except myself. Mom threw me out the day I turned 18, with no money, no place to sleep.
I did what I did to survive. Even if I did some pretty shitty things.
