Aimée's POV

"Did you see the look on his face?" Rhys laughed as we both walked in my apartment.
"Who's face?" I obviously knew who he was talking about but I was hoping I was wrong.
"Lando's" he rolled his eyes as he sat down next to Kara who was sitting on the couch.
I saw the look on his face and I wish I didn't have to witness that.
I saw his face drop when he saw the two of us standing together.
"Oh you saw Lando again?" Kara asked, completely ignoring Rhys.
She didn't know the entire story yet, but she knew we were friends. I told her bits and pieces, but I left out the part where we used to give each other some of the best orgasms.

"Yes, I gave her a paddock pass" Rhys cut me off, once again. He always did that, he talked for me all the time.
"A fake one, I had to sneak in, it was embarrassing Rhys" I sighed as I sat down on the couch as well.
He just shrugged it off but I had to know he wouldn't have paddock passes, or not for me at least.
"Anyways" I said as I turned to Kara. "I have this for you" I held a paddock pass in front of her. A real one at that.
Her face completely dropped before turning into a smile. "Are you kidding me? Did you steal this?" She said as she snapped the pass out of my hand and looked at it.
"Yeah where did you get that from?" Rhys looked at the pass in Kara's hand. He knew where I got it from, but I would gladly tell him.
"Lando told me to give it to you, so we can go together" I ignored Rhys and looked at Kara.

Lando only had to take one look at my paddock pass to see it was a fake one.
He didn't say anything about it, he just got up and came back with two paddock passes for the entire weekend.
One for me and one for Kara. He only met her once, when we tricked him to give us free drinks, but I talked so much about her in the past months that he knew what she meant to me.

'Don't expect paddock passes.'

"Oh my God, I love him" Kara chuckled. I could hear Rhys groan next to me before getting up and grabbing my hand to pull me up with him.
"I should go, I'll see you tomorrow yeah?" He said as he pressed his lips against mine and grabbed my ass.

"When are you gonna drop this asshole?" Kara said as soon as Rhys walked out of the door. "He's not always like that" I sighed. Why was I still defending him?
"Just every time I see him" Kara said while grabbing a cupcake out of our usual free food delivery. "You deserve someone better" she bit a piece out of the cupcake. "Like the one who pays for our food every single time" she raised her eyebrow.
She still thought it was from someone who I knew, but I was convinced it was from someone she was fucking around with.

I couldn't deny that seeing Lando again brought some feeling back, feelings I was desperately trying to forget.
He was always being so nice to me, even after I ghosted him for weeks and started dating the person he warned me about.
He still wanted to know if I was fine, if I was happy.

But sometimes I wondered what would've happened if I ran after him that day.
