Remind me never to go on a Tinder date again. I was already waiting for 30 minutes at the bar were we agreed to meet up. He didn't show up.
I couldn't believe I shaved my legs and put on makeup for this, this idiot who decided to ditch me.

"Drinking alone?" I recognized that British accent. It was the sausage guy, was he stalking me or something?
"Or did you already scare everyone away?" He chuckled as he put his arm on the bar and leaned against it.
He wasn't alone, there was a beautiful woman standing next to him. She looked a bit older than him, straight dark hair and her dress was probably more expensive than my entire wardrobe.
"Are you here to get drunk but not pay for it?" It was the only thing I could come up with. "Watch out, he steals sausages" I looked at his date, she just chuckled a little, I guess she was used to his immature ways already.
"You're awfully dressed up to drink by yourself" he said as he sat down on one of the empty stools next to me.
He looked at me with a little smirk plastered on his face. His eyes wandered over my dress and high heels.

Yes, I was wearing high heels, which wasn't uncommon at all in Monaco, but he probably never saw me like this before.
He obviously never saw me like this, we only practically knew each other for 2 days.

His eyes stopped at my heels before he dragged them back up to meet my eyes again. His smirk disappeared when the realization kicked in.
"You're dressed for an actual date" he looked at the empty stools next to me, making sure I was actually sitting alone.
"Didn't he show up?" He titled his head a little. I couldn't make out if he was concerned or just wanted to laugh.
I wasn't gonna take the chance, so I changed the subject while grabbing my jacket.
"You should worry less about me and more about your date" He didn't even look at her once since he walked in the bar.
He just chuckled as he shook his head. I decided not to give him any more of my attention and put my hand up to the bartender.
Before I could give him the money for my drink, Lando already put his credit card in the bartender's hands. "It's on me" he winked at me.
"Thanks" I wasn't gonna fight him on this, this bar was pretty expensive.

I jumped off my stool and gave him a quick nod. He returned it with a little smirk.
I don't know what it was, but he annoyed me, his little smirk gave me goosebumps. Not the good ones.

I walked back in my apartment, Kara was laying on the couch, watching a black and white movie.
"You're home soon? Was he ugly?" She asked as she looked at me.
"He didn't show up. Guys in Monaco are assholes" I sighed.
"Aw babe" Kara sat up a little and opened her arms, an invite for me to snuggle up to her and that's exactly what I did.
There was nothing better than coming home after a terrible non existing date and cry it away with your best friend.
"I stole some food and a bottle of wine from the restaurant" she pointed at the bottle of wine. "You're the bestest friend ever" I laughed as I grabbed the bottle and put it on my lips.

Expensive wine always tasted better when it was free.
"God I love your job" I laughed as I put the bottle back.
I loved her job for the food and drinks, but I hated my job. I absolutely despised it, but unfortunately I had no choice.
