CHAPTER 12
"Oh sige na, mag-picture na tayo para maakalis na tayo. Baka ma-late pa tayo sa graduation ng Ate niyo." sabi ni Mommy.
Nag-hire pa ito ng photographer at mga make-up at hairstylist para maayos ang picture at hitsura namin ngayon.
Sinabihan ko na siya na hindi naman na kailangan. Pero pilit pa rin niya, kaya wala akong nagawa.
Suot ko ang nursing uniform ko sa loob at ang graduation toga ko naman sa labas nito. Kinulot ng hairstylist ang buhok ko at may kaunti akong make-up.
Si Mommy at Daddy naman ay talagang pinaghandaan ang suot nila. Mom's wearing a maroon dress with a ribbon on its front and Dad's wearing a maroon dress shirt and cream pants.
Yvonne on the other hand, is wearing a pink
flowery dress and Kuya Leonne is wearing the same thing as Dad but a navy blue colored top.
"Is Zairen coming later?" tanong ni Kuya Leonne
"Of course he will!" sagot naman ni Dad para sa akin.
Ang confident naman ni Daddy! Alam na alam na pupunta si Zairen?
We went out the front door since were taking our family picture outside the house. Sa susunod na photoshoot na lang daw namin yung sa loob ng bahay.
It's kind of weird that we aren't taking our picture inside.
"Okay po, family picture na po tayo," the cameraman called our attention. "Pwesto na po kayo."
Inayos namin ang sarili namin at nag-assist pa ang cameraman para maganda tingnan.
Lumayo ito sa amin. "Okay, ready. In, 3...2...1" then the camera flashed.
We took a few more photos then we got in the car and drove to campus.
Nagkwekwentuhan kami nang nag-ring ang cellphone ko. I looked at the caller ID and saw Zairen's contact name flashed and quickly answered the call.
"Are you off to school yet?" he asked me through the other line.
"Yeah," I answered. What about you?"
"I'm here. Nasa parking pa lang ako. Mamaya na ako bababa 'pag andito na kayo."
"You're so early!" natatawa kong saad.
"Buti pa si Zairen nasa UAD na." narinig kong sabi ni Dad mula sa passenger seat.
"Sabi ni Daddy buti ka pa raw andiyan ka na," I chuckled.
"I have to," he laughed. "Anyways, let's talk later. Just text me when you get here."
"Okay."
"Ingat kayo sa daan."
After that, we ended the call. But why does he have to be in campus early? Zairen comes to school events early but I didn't expect him to be in campus before us.
A few minutes passed and we were already at the parking lot. I texted Zairen that we're already here and he said he'll be in front of the auditorium already.
"Mommy," tawag ko sa kanya at inalalayan siya pababa ng sasakyan. "Dahan-dahan lang. Baka matumba ka, oh. Naka-heels ka pa naman."
She laughed. "Nako, hija, I'll be fine."
"Ate!"
I looked to my right and saw Yvonne. She wants me to hold her hand and that's what I did.
We walked to the auditorium and there I saw Zairen. But he was with someone... Sino kaya 'yon? 'Yan na ba 'yung ipapakilala ni Zairen sa akin?
