By the time we pull up to the hotel, the rain is coming down even heavier and Lando and I haven't said another word to each other the entire drive here. But now that we've come to a stop, a seperate on inevitable, I know one of has to say something. Glancing over to see him gripping so tightly onto the steering wheel his knuckles are white, I'm guessing it's not going to be him.

"What made you come to Monza?" I ask, my voice barely making it over the sound of the rain pelting against the car.

"I told you, Ev. For you" he breaths out.

"I know that" I shake my head, still fastened in my seat belt. "But why look for me here? I know you said we fell in love here but you know I wouldn't have remembered any of that. So, why here?"

A small chuckle falls from his lips, "Call me crazy, Ev, but I guess I still had hope."

"It's pointless" I mutter.

He shakes his head, small droplets of water from his hair hitting me lightly against the skin, shocking me back, "it's not pointless"

"It is, Lando" I throw my hands up.

I jolt at the sound of his hands smacking against the steering wheel, "Do you want to know what's pointless, Evelyn? Trying to forget you! Trying to let go of you! Trying anything possible to remove you from my memory just as easy as you removed me from yours"

My lips part in shock, but I know he doesn't mean that personally, so I don't allow the comment to hit me personally.

"You just don't seem to get it do you?" He pushes.

"You moved on with someone else, Lando. Am I'm not saying you had to wait for me, before you even throw that back in my face, but you moved on. You can't punish me for that" I spit in anger.

He chuckles lightly, "I didn't move on with Charlotte, Evelyn"

"What?" I say breathlessly.

He turns his body to face me, "I said, I didn't move on with Charlotte. I didn't move on with anybody. How the fuck could I when you're right here?"

"But I thought..?" I begin.

"Yeah, well you thought wrong." He bashes.

I take in his face, how someone can look so hurt and angry and in love all at the same time. I guess it may mirror how I look when I look at him.

"I should get inside" I mutter, looking out my window at the lit up hotel in front of me.

"No" he disagrees strongly.

"Lando?" I whisper defeated.

"I'm not letting you walk away from me again, not this time" he defends.

The water droplets from the rain that remain in the corners of my eyes suddenly mix with the droplets of my heartbreak.

"I have to go" I whisper.

His shaking his head in a steadied motion, something pulling at him inside of him, "Please" he begs through a sob. "Don't leave me again"

His desperation opens the flood gates for my own emotions as I break into an inconsolable sob.

"Tell me what I can do to make you stay? What can I say, so you won't leave. I need to know how I can fix this." He asks in anguish.

His hands find mine across the console, "please" he repeats gritting through his teeth.

I'm unsure on what to say, or maybe I am and I just can't get the words to fall from my lips.

"Let's just get inside and we can talk, just, please, let's just talk" he brings my hands up to his lips, still cupped in his hands and pressing his warm lips to my shivering hands.

The feeling of his lips against my skin sends a shiver down my spine and pulsates through my chest. I find myself watching the way they press against my skin and then trailing them all the way back up as he sits upright, just as if it were happening in slow motion.

I haven't been able to take my eyes off them even as he whispers my name.

Like an overbearing force manipulating me, I lean forward, still staring at their plumpness until my own connect with them.

Reaching as far over the console for him, I grab his hand and pull him as close as I can to me as his free hand finds instead tangled at the base of my hair, holding me firmly against him.

The wet, coldness of his nose against my cheek makes the warmth of hips lips more prominent as they tilt slightly, parting gently and deepening their hold on me.

When I feel his tongue dart out cautiously, stroking the bottom lip, I pull back from him suddenly, breathlessly.

We gaze at each other, our panting chests mirroring each other, our passion fogging up the windows of the car.

I barely have time to open my hotel door before he pushes my body up hard against it, feeling his own pleasures against my core.

The entire ordeal is messy, and fumbling as attempt to rid each other of our wet clothes. There's hands and lips and shoving taking over our bodies in desperation.

Once I feel the last piece of clothing be rid from my body he pulls away from me, "wait, wait, wait" he breaths out, standing before me completely bare himself.

"Sorry" I apologise, touching my own lips to hold the feeling of him there.

"No" he shakes his head in a chuckle, "I just, I want to do this better. As much I want to devour you right now like I'm an animal on heat, I want to savour this."

He walks toward me, gripping the sides of my head in his grasp and lowering his lips to mine in a completely different tempo. The passion doubling by his new direction.

As he crouches slightly, hooking his hands underneath my arse, he lifts me in one smooth motion, my legs wrapping tightly around him upon instinct.

Pulling his lips from mine, however keeping his head firmly on my own as he looks up at me through his brows. "I don't care what I have to do. I don't care what we have to go through. I'm not losing you. I'm not letting you walk away. I'm not letting this end. Ever, do you understand me?"

I wrap my arms tightly around his shoulders, struggling to bring us any closer than our bodies will allow. As I bite my lip I nod my head, forcing his head to move with mine based on how tightly their pressed together.
