Ch29: The Special Student

He morphed into something resembling a ghost.

For him, time has passed both fast and slowly. He had no idea how much time had elapsed before he met them.

Should he be grateful to the greedy former mayor of Ledusberg town? Because of him, he met them because the greedy mayor have stolen his honored great-great-grandmother's artifact.

Someone appeared in the magic mirror when he was lost in his thoughts. When Katerina saw the person emerge, she exclaimed, and Arktis looked at the person who appeared.

"Mr. Hans!"

Katerina greeted Andersen warmly with a bright smile on her face, and he returned it with a nod of acknowledgment. He then muttered loudly as he looked at Arktis.

"That's great; you're already dressed for the occasion."

Arktis was dressed in Night Raven College's ceremonial robes rather than his usual princely attire. Crowley objected when he learned of the method for someone like him. The headmaster didn't believe in Mr Hans's method.

According to Mr. Hans, it was something along the lines of burning ceremonial robes and offering them to him with an object known as incense. Dire Crowley, the head mage, as opposed to the ceremonial garments being burned. What was more troubling for the headmaster was that Mr. Hans wasn't confident if this method would work at all for him, as they had never heard of this 'offering to the dead ritual'.

It was only when Mr. Hans said that he would pay back the headmaster when it wouldn't work that Mr. Hans convinced the headmaster of Night Raven College.

Arktis and the others have concluded that the unusual ceremony existed on Mr. Hans's planet.

The ceremony's success was quite fortunate. If it didn't, the garments Mr. Hans burned for him would go to waste, and the headmaster of Night Raven College would grieve because the fine clothes would be thrown away and Mr Hans's moneyless wallet would be in danger.

'It was successful... That means I'm not alive. Am I? '

Arktis shook his head to clear his mind and returned his focus to Mr. Hans, who was staring at him.

Mr. Hans turned to enter the Magic Mirror again after inspecting him.

The college is known as "Night Raven College."

Mr. Hans murmured to himself in the mirror before returning his gaze and saying,

"Visit the room where the other first-year students are."

" The one that you have said with the coffins? "

" Yes. I would see you later in the entrance ceremony. You better not cause trouble, Ice Prince. "

Mr. Hans stepped into the mirror and passed through it, and Prince Arktis complained inside his mind.

' Jerkass. '

Does he look like someone who would cause trouble? While Arktis was complaining inside his mind, he heard Katerina cheering him up before it was his turn to pass through the mirror.

"Good luck."

Arktis replied with a faint smile as he looked back at her before entering the mirror.

"Thank you."

He hoped things would go smoothly before stepping into the mirror.

He recalls the times when innumerable magicians and renowned magic tutors visited his castle. Promising him and his parents that they would assist him in gaining control of his magic. They all end up being frozen, breaking into crystal dust, and being added to the dead count, guilt, and numbness that he felt throughout his life.

Mr. Hans unexpected involving him with the Night Raven College surpassed his expectations. But if this impossible individual with a caustic mouth insisted on him trying... Perhaps he should have some trust. It would also not be a bad idea to attend this so-called magical learning school.

There was something to Mr. Hans that he couldn't help but trust a little and put more faith in his words. Despite his venomous mouth, the little otherworldly has an undeniable charisma that makes people believe and hope.

Hopefully, everything goes smoothly and everything is well.

As Prince Arktis entered the mirror and vanished, he was whisked away to Night Raven College.

He never imagined that his days at Night Raven College would be the polar opposite of his goals and expectations.

He wasn't the only so-called special student with unusual circumstances that would be enrolled at Night Raven College.
