"Hyrie, please don't," he pleaded, desperately imploring her to stop.

"Jin, it's for the better. I have my whole life ahead of me, and I want to focus on my career. I have to leave," she replied, devoid of any emotion.

"I'm not asking you to give up on your life or your career. I'm not even trying to stop you from going to the States. I just don't want our relationship to end... I... I love you," he confessed, tears streaming down his face.

"Jin, I can't. I... I don't love you. It was nice being around a famous idol like you, but I never developed romantic feelings for you," she said, displaying no regrets.

"Then why the heck did you waste my time? I thought our connection was genuine... We've been dating for four years... How can it be just a passing time for you? Hyrie, please tell me you're lying," his voice came out as a whisper as he finished his desperate attempt to stop her.

"I'm leaving, Jin. Just move on," she said as she turned around to leave, not even giving a last glance to the crying boy who stood alone in the middle of the night.

The moon shone above him as he slowly walked towards home, his steps heavy and his mind numb.

"Oh, hyung, you're back," Jungkook stood up, waiting for his hyung's return. The others had already gone to bed after their tiring schedule.

"Let me cook something for you real quick... Wait, hyung, are you alright? Why are your eyes swollen? Are you okay?" Jungkook bombarded him with questions, desperate to know why his dearest Jin hyung looked so distressed.

Without replying, Jin slowly walked towards his room, shutting the door behind him and locking it.

Jungkook stood confused in the empty hallway. After waiting for a few more minutes, he went to his room, thinking that his hyung might need some space. The night was difficult for him as he tossed in bed, wondering what happened to Jin. He had always seen his hyung full of energy, always laughing. An idea popped up in his mind as he messaged Hyrie, knowing how much Jin hyung loved her. Maybe she would know how to lighten his mood.

A few minutes went by when his phone dinged, and the reply he read shocked him.

"Damn it," he cursed, now understanding why Jin looked so gloomy.

The next morning:

The house was filled with the sound of conversation. The rest of them were still unaware of what happened with their hyung, although they all knew how serious he was about Hyrie—she was his first love.

"Yo, go and wake up Jin hyung, tell him to have his breakfast," Suga asked Tae.

"I tried, hyung, but he's not opening his door. It's locked," Tae said, not understanding why Jin had locked his door.

"It's because of Hyrie," Jungkook muttered, catching everyone's attention.

"What do you mean by that, Kook?" Hobi asked.

"She left him. She's going to the States. She said she never loved him, damn it," anger was visible in Jungkook's eyes.

"But how could she? He... he loved her," Jimin spoke, feeling heartbroken for his hyung.

The next five minutes passed in silence, until Namjoon stood up, making his way towards Jin's room. "Hyung, open up," he knocked, but got no response in return.

"Hyung, I swear if you have done something... please just open up." His mind was filled with worst-case scenarios, but he kept assuring himself that Jin would never do such a thing.
"Hyung," it was Jungkook's voice this time as he desperately knocked on Jin's door, "hyung, please tell us you are... okay." His voice cracked, indicating that he was about to cry.
