Annie immediately regretted saying those words.

Actually, the problem wasn't even the sentence itself, but her tone as she said it.

It sounded like she wanted to break up.

The girl diverted her gaze, not wanting to face him when an answer came.

Especially if it were positive.

Minho, on the other hand, took his time to look at her. He looked at every single one of her features, almost as if studying the person in front of him.

He wanted to know what was going on inside her mind and heart.

After a minute, he spoke.

"I would never break up with you, Haerim. I didn't like you on my own for three years just to throw it away when we're finally together."

She looked up.

"Sorry for not replying to your question at first. I was worried about my stalker knowing you and I ended up worrying you too."

Minho continued, eyes locked with hers.

Annie wanted to cry out of guilt, but she feared it would make him more worried, so she kept it in.

"Min..."

He let out a soft smile, taking a step closer to hug her.

"Sorry for being so worked up about this."

"No, no. It's fine. I wouldn't want to lose a boyfriend like me either."

Annie pushed away, slapping his arm.

"I'm being serious!"

"Me too!"

She rolled her eyes.

"But Haerim..."

"Hm?"

"What do you think about telling the company?"

Minho spoke quietly so as not to shock her.

"About us..? I thought about that too. They shouldn't find out about it through the news."

As much as she was scared, it was time to face this situation.

"Don't worry. I said I'd take responsibility for whatever happened to you, I meant it."

"Oh~ what a reliable boyfriend I have!"

Annie teased, getting an unfazed look in response.

"Can you be serious for once?"

"I tried just a minute ago and you ruined it."

She raised an eyebrow.

He cleared his throat.

"Anyway, let's tell them first thing in the morning tomorrow. You should rest now."

Annie nodded, then put a hand in the air to wave goodbye.

"What are you doing?"
