Daryl had been keeping an eye on Y/N all day. He had noticed that she seemed more anxious than usual, and he knew that the stress of the apocalypse was taking its toll on her.

As the group walked through the abandoned streets, Daryl saw Y/N breathing start to quicken. He knew that she was on the verge of a panic attack, and he didn't want anyone else to notice.

Without saying a word, Daryl moved closer to Y/N, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. He pulled her close, his body shielding hers from everyone else.

Y/N looked up at him, her eyes wide with fear. But as she felt Daryl's strong arm around her, she began to calm down. She took a deep breath, her body relaxing against his.

Daryl knew that he couldn't keep her there forever, but for that moment, he was happy to be able to offer her some comfort. He whispered softly in her ear, telling her that everything was going to be alright.

And as they walked on, Daryl felt a sense of peace knowing that he had been able to help Y/N in her time of need. He knew that they would face many more challenges in the days ahead, but as long as he was there, he would make sure nothing would ever happen to her.
