Chapter 51

I took a deep breath as I stood in front of Eijiro's door. Now that I had a date with Sero tonight, I was going to have to move things around with the new list. Luckily, Eijiro already knew what was going on. But that doesn't mean I wasn't any less nervous.

I knocked on the door and waited a moment before the door opened.

"Hello, Pebble." Ei teased as he opened the door and leaned on it. He barely had his shirt buttoned up, and his hair was still in bedhead formation. "What can I help you with this fine morning?"

"Can I talk to you? Maybe with your hair and shirt fixed up a bit?" I asked him, and all he did was smile. Since he already knew the topic, he got real smug as he moved to the side and let me into his room.

"Aw, is someone distracted?" He teased me again as he closed the door.

"Maybe a little." I said and couldn't help myself checking out his abs that were staring at me through the opening of his shirt.

"I get the feeling this isn't going to be a pleasurable conversation." He told me as he buttoned up his shirt a bit more to keep me from being distracted, as he walked into his bathroom and started doing his hair.

"You're having too much fun with this." I told him.

"Maybe." He agreed. "But that's not going to stop me from having my fun all day."

"Mhm." I hummed and crossed my arms as I leaned against the door frame.

"So?" Ei asked after he was done brushing his hair out. "What do you want to talk about?" As if he didn't know already.

"Would it be alright if I skipped out on our sensions tonight?" I asked him. He gasped dramatically and placed a hand over his heart like I stabbed him.

"The Succubus wants to skip out on a meal?" He asked with a giant smile across his face. Knowing that my conversation with Sero went well. "Whatever reason would you want to do that?"

"I have a date tonight." I told him, but he already knew that. "With Sero."

"With Sero?" He asked. I couldn't help but roll my eyes. We both took a moment before laughing. "Of course, that's alright. I honestly didn't think he was going to ask you out so fast. I figured he would have taken another day, at least." He said seriously as he finished styling his hair.

"I didn't know if he was going to do it at all." I told him. "I feel like I've put him in too many awkward situations that he felt too outcasted."

"Well, we had a good talk." Ei said. "It almost got a little hairy since he was hurt about not being a part of anything. But it ended well. He's doing better in his classes, too. Fixed most of his grades already."

"Was he that far gone?" I questioned a little worried now, that what if our date doesn't go well?

"Yeah." He said. "But I helped him as much as I could to get caught up. And Yaoyorozu did the rest."

"I'll have to thank her later." I said.

"Oh?" Ei said, surprised. "You're gonna go after Yaoyorozu?"

"No, she's not interested in this kind of thing." I said. "She'd probably be interested in talking about it. But not being a part of it. Not for her first type of relationship anyway."

"Think she'd be interested in the future?" He asked as he stepped past me back into his bedroom to finish getting dressed.

"Maybe." I said. "Don't know for sure, though."

"Is there anyone else you're interested in getting into the group?" He asked me as he tucked his button up into his pants.

"Perhaps." I teased.

"Let me guess." He said. "Iida." He didn't even have to ask.

"Yeah." I sighed.

"Is he actually interested? I would have figured he wouldn't be into a group thing." He questioned.

"Not entirely." I admitted. "But there is curiosity behind his eyes. Yaoyorozu, too, but she's more of a 'wondering how it works' type of curiosity."

Eijiro laughed a bit as he struggled to get his tie on properly. I kicked myself off the wall and walked over to him. I took the tie from his hands and did it for him.

"Thank you." He said before kissing me on the lips. "Are you hungry, baby shark?"

"I am." I told him. "But I'd rather us not do anything today."

"Why is that?" He asked. He seemed a bit offended.

"Because I would like to be able to focus on Sero." I told him. "And walking up to him before our date tonight with cum breath or sex hair, probably wouldn't help our situation."

"Yeah." Ei said after thinking about it for a second. "That makes sense."

"So, no problem?" I asked him.

"Of course not." He smiled. "I would like some attention today, though. Don't want to feel left out."

"Okay, you big baby." I teased him and took his hand in mine, pulling him behind me as I headed for the door. Eijiro grabbed his bag on the way out, and I barely gave him time to be able to close his door on the way out.

We both couldn't help but laugh while we waited for the elevator. Once it opened, I could feel a laugh get caught in my throat. Thankfully, naturally I don't have a gag reflex and choked on it.

Sero looked up from his phone and gave us a weird look.
