Chapter 23

Chapter 23 : Blush

“You're cold..can you wait for me here? Kukunin ko lang ang jacket ko...” He said gently habang niyayakap ako. Umiling ako at mas lalong yumakap sa kanya. Nasa kandungan niya ako at niyayakap, nakaupo siya sa isang upuan. 

There's no much enough space for us to seperate, dahil sa kinaroroonan namin maliit lang ang space roon. So, he wanted me to just stay where i am, dahil lumalakas pa ang ulan at baka mabasa pa ako lalo.

My head was slightly buried on his chest. I could feel the warmth of his body despite the fact that we're two wet from the rain. 

“Baby...”

“Angelus...” Nanginginig kong bulong. 

He sighs softly, I could feel his hands brushing my wet hair at naramdaman kong tumungo siya at hinalikan ang aking buhok. 

“You want to rest? Let's stay here for five minutes, pagkatapos. I'll go get my jacket. So we could go home and shower..” He explained gently at mahina akong tumango sa kanya.

I sigh quietly, when a question pops into my head that keeps hunting me for days he was not around. 

“Angelus?” sabi ko at inangat ang tingin ko sa kanya.

“Yes, baby?” He lowered his sight at me. He cleared my forehead from my hair as he answered.

I bit my lower and sighed softly. 

“Bakit hindi ka nagpakita sa akin noong first day of immersion niyo? I waited for you, pero hindi ka nagpakita..” my voice suddenly went low when I said the last words. 

“Did you really wait for me?” Malumanay niyang tanong. 

“Oo naman! I waited for you, pero hindi ka nagpakita! You said diba na you're going to—”

“I'm sorry..” Pinutol niya ang aking sasabihin sa mahinahon niyang boses. 

I pouted my lips at iniwas ang tingin sa kanya.

“I'm sorry, I did not expect that our work immersion will be long. Alas sais na kami pinauwi, and on that day we had many activities...” 

Mas lalong akong sumimangot ngunit hindi na nagsalita.

“I'm really sorry..I should've informed you before it happened.” he said gently.

Huminga ako ng malalim at nilaro ang aking mga daliri. 

“Okay lang..”

His hand unknowingly reached for my fingers at hinawakan iyon ng malumanay. Napatingin ako sa kanya, namumungay ang mga mata niyang nakatingin sa akin. 

“Are you jealous over my step sister?” He asked straightforwardly. His hand slightly caresses my thumb. 

I pursed my lips at binaba ang tingin ko sa mga kamay namin at tumango. 

His hand squeezed my hands. I could hear his gasps and his fast heartbeats. 

“Damn..” He cursed. 

“Kumakabog din pala ang puso mo? Are you shock?” 

“More than that, baby.” He answered instead before he lowered his head over my shoulder. I could feel his warm breath caressing my cold shoulder. “Damn it.” He cursed softly. 

I smiled lightly. “Are you blushing?” 

“Don't tell me about it, please. I look like a defeated tomato.” He murmured with his muffled voice on my shoulder and I couldn't help but to let out a slight chuckle.
