Chapter Thirteen: finding the truth

Sakura POV-

"Is this Ibiki-San?" I asked my mobile,
"Yes this is Ibiki who is speaking?" The man on the other side of the phone asked.
"This is Sakura Haruno, you were the boss of my father,"
"Oh Miss Haruno, I'm very sorry about what had happened," Ibiki said,
"Um, it's fine, actually Ibiki-San I want to ask you something about my Dad," I continued,
"Well, it depends what your asking," Ibiki began,
"I want to know what case my father was working on before he left to go back to America?"
"I'm sorry Miss Haruno that's private information," Ibiki began,
"Please!" I cried, "all I want to do is find out what happened to my papa," I began to fake sob,
"Miss Haruno-,"
"Please!" I sobbed more,
"I'll hand over to Anko," Ibiki sighed. Shanaro! I'm gonna find out about my dad! I have had a week off school for mourning; Ino, Hinata and Tenten came over; Naruto and Sasuke (who looked like had been dragged to my house) came the next day. Apart from that my free time was not spent 'sulking.' Instead I have been investigating my fathers death, I refuse to believe it was an ordinary plane crash.
"Miss Haruno?" The voice in the other said asked, "this is Anko,"
"Hi, can I ask you about my dad?" I said,
"Well," Anko thought about it, "I guess Ibiki gave the phone to me for a reason, so sure,"
"What was my Dad working on before he went back to America?" I asked, I heard people tapping on a keyboard,
"Let's see," Anko began, "I can't give you a lot of information because it's like triple locked,"

"Okay," I said, "what can you tell me?"
"The case was almost complete and your dad was investigating..." I heard her tap on the keyboard more,
"Who?"
"Hold on a sec," Anko said, I waited 'patiently' for her reply, "Akatsuki."

"That's exactly what she said," I paced my room, holding the phone to my ear,
"That's the same place that Deidara guy works?" Ino mumbled through the phone,
"So does those Hidan and Kakuzu guys, and soon Sasuke's brother," I replied, I wrote this down on a post it note and stuck it on a massive piece of paper I stole from Kakashi-sensei's room. It had a massive word written in bubble writing. It said Akatsuki. So far I had written down:
'Deidara'
'Hidan and Kakuzu'
'Sasori and Deidara in my house :('
'Itachi'
'Konan'
The only logical one was 'Sasori and Deidara round my house,' the rest was meant to make the paper look full of information. I needed information.
"Anyway Sakura when are you going to be back in school?" Ino asked,
"I don't know," I sighed,
"Please come back soon, I had to pair up Lee in maths because you weren't there," Ino gave a fake sob.
"Sorry," I laughed, "maybe tomorrow or Thursday,"
"Err fine," Ino laughed,
"So who is missing me?" I asked,
"Your mum," Ino replied,
"Seriously,"
"Okay, me, Tenten and Hinata," she replied, "it's like your dead, we are mourning for you,"
"Right, what about Sasuke-Kun I haven't seen him for almost a week?" I asked,
"Who knows, a brick wall has more emotion," Ino sighed,
"He didn't even ask if you'd spoken to me, seriously when he came round with Naruto he was being so moody, like he didn't want to be there,"
"Sakura darling, you have priorities right now, Apparently the top of beating the shit out of Akatsuki," Ino said sarcastically, I laughed,
"Then me, then Hinata and Tenten, then Sasuke-Kun," Ino laughed,
"No, Ino your at the very bottom," I laughed,
"Bitch!"
"Okay, well I'm gonna go, see ya Ino," I said,
"Bye forehead," Ino said before putting down the phone.

So I did end up going in the day after, yay. I wanted to stab one all I got was,
"Sakura are you okay?"
"Give me a call if you need to talk,"
"I'm there for you,"
"I'm really sorry about your dad,"
"It was such a shock, I'm so sorry,"
I know they were just being nice but I wish everyone would stop bothering me about it. I appreciate the fact that people care but they caused some one to say something. Yup Karin can't take it if someone is getting more attention then her. She really can't. I quote, "Err, forehead just asking for attention now,"
"What was that fore eyes!" I had never been so angry in my life.
"Your really loving the attention aren't you?!" Karin shouted back,
"What? Do you think I wanted this to happen?!" I basically screamed,
"S-Sakura p-please calm down," Hinata begged, I ignored her.
"Do you even understand?!" I shouted, "Stupid bitch you have no problems in her life!"
"You don't know that!" Karin shouted,
"Then don't say I'm attention seeking, because I'm actually pissed off!" I screamed,
"Slay Sakura-chan!" Naruto cheered,
"Shut up!" Karin and I both shouted at Naruto.
"Sakura calm-," Tenten tried the nice approach,
"Forehead calm the fuck down!" Ino shouted, I was about to explode.
"Sakura," a smooth voice said behind me,
"Sasuke-kun," Karin went into innocent mode,
"Calm down," Sasuke said,
"No! Don't act like you care Sasuke! You have barely spoken to me all week! And when you did Naruto basically dragged you round!" And with that I stormed of.

Sasuke Pov-

"Don't act like you care Sasuke!" Her words were replayed in my mind. Did I actually care? I stared at the empty space Sakura was just standing.
"Maybe you should just dump her," Karin suggested.
"Shut up," Naruto said, Ino, Hinata and Tenten had chased after her. I realised everyone was looking at me.
"Sasuke," Neji looked at me, "you okay?"
"Hn,"
"Nobody understands what that means," Kiba sighed,
"I'm fine," I said. Do I care? I don't act like I care I was just there! Why am I getting so worked up about this? She is just a girl. Just a person, of course I don't care. Why would I care? I don't know, maybe I care. As a friend, a friend, just a friend.

Sakura Pov-

"Sorry for storming of, I was just really angry," I sighed as my friends found me in the nearest toilets.
"What about Sasuke-kun?" Hinata asked,
"I'm just over reacting, I guess he was there when I found out," I smiled reassuringly,
"You sure your okay?" Ino asked,
"Yup," I smiled, I think I was just over reacting but I'm fine now, although I still want to stab Karin. That is a common emotion. I still wonder why I have barely seen Sasuke though. Oh well, he is just be tsundere as usual. I sighed, stupid Karin, now everyone must be so annoyed at me.
"Let's go, Guy-sensei's going to make us do laps if we're late," Tenten said.

We were close to our lesson when I saw Sasuke and Naruto,
"Hey Sasuke-kun!" I shouted, Naruto stopped and poked the boy next to him.
"Temme, it's Sakura-chan," Naruto said,
"I worked that out dobe," Sasuke turned to face me.
"I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier," I sighed,
"It's fine," Sasuke said and continued to walk away.
"What the hell temme?" Naruto walked after him. Exactly what the hell? No apology for ignoring me! What is up with him? I know he was there when I found out but 'it's fine' and then just walk of! Maybe he should just be a more loving boyfriend and I wouldn't have to apologise, I swear down.

Sasuke Pov-

"At least act like your dating!" Naruto raged at me, "that was rude!"
"Hn,"
"Sasuke! What is up with you,"
"Hn,"
"SASUKE!"
"Hn,"
"SASUKE UCHIHA SAY HN ONE MORE TIME!" The blonde shouted,
"I don't know okay!" I shouted, Naruto looked at me, "I kind of care, I mean, she thinks I don't care, but I kinda do," I said, Naruto began laughing, "what?" I asked,
"Aww,"
"What!?"
"You care about her?" Naruto said,
"So?"
"Your so stupid," Naruto laughed,
"Why?"
"Stop being a dickhead," Naruto laughed harder,
"Excuse me,"
"Stop trying to hide your feeling by being a dickhead," Naruto finally shut up,
"I don't understand,"
"Don't worry then," Naruto sighed.

Sakura POV-
"Shanaro!" I growled sitting in the girls changing rooms,
"Sakura, I'm sure he is just a it angry, he will be fine," Tenten said,
"I know but something's up!" I sighed,
"Hey Tenten, why don't you ask Neji about it?" Ino suggested,
"Neji-nii-San and S-sasuke-Kun are p-pretty close," Hinata continued,
"Yeah, I'll talk to Neji after school," Tenten grinned.
"Thank you," I smiled.
