Tzuyu normally appeared unassuming because she tended to dress conservatively. Her thick-framed, black glasses also concealed half of her face.
He knew very well that if Tzuyu dressed up well and removed her glasses, she would definitely be a stunning beauty!
He most enjoyed digging out this sort of hidden gems and discovering their beauty. It gave him a great sense of accomplishment.
He had been nearly successful with this one and refused to allow this opportunity to slip away from his hands.
The three of them visited a nearby hospital. After examining her, the doctor frowned. “Miss Chou, unless you’ve been struggling with insomnia for a long period of time, it isn’t appropriate for you to take sleeping pills. There are harmful side effects to your health. From what I can tell, you are very healthy and have no need for these. Please cherish your body while you are young.”
Tzuyu immediately turned pale. She had really consumed sleeping pills while she was unaware!
Lisa supported the silent Tzuyu out of the hospital.
As they walked along the streets, Sungjae rushed to catch up with them.
He tugged on Tzuyu’s arm. “Tzu, listen to me. Even if you’ve consumed sleeping pills, it doesn’t mean that it’s related to me…”
Tzuyu pushed his hand aside and glared at him. “I called my helper, Auntie Ji. She said she had wanted to send me to the hospital when she saw that I was feeling unwell, but you lied to her that you had already taken me to a doctor. You even sent her to a hospital that was two hours away to buy medicine. You say, when did you take me to a doctor? What did you plan on doing to me when there was no one else at home?”
Sungjae had already planned out his explanation.
He put on a heartbroken expression. “Tzu, listen to me. The only reason I sent Auntie Ji away was because I wanted to take good care of you myself. I swear, I would never do anything to you while you’re asleep. Ever since Lisa spoke poorly of me yesterday, I can clearly tell that your attitude towards me has changed.”
Lisa sneered from the side. “In that case, it seems like I’m in the wrong for pointing out your mistakes?”
Sungjae paid no attention to Lisa, the ugly whore whose face appeared to be covered in something.
He rushed to say to Tzuyu. “I swear, I only wanted to spend some time alone with you in those two hours.”
“Tzuyu, do you believe in his vow?” Lisa asked her.
Tzuyu shook her head. “I don’t. If it were me, I would never feed the person, whom I love the most, any medicine that would harm them while they were unaware.”
“How harmful can sleeping pills be?” Sungjae was a little frustrated.
Tzuyu stared at him with wide eyes. “So you’re admitting that you were the person who fed me the sleeping pills!”
Sungjae was fearless. “I already said it wasn’t me. You’re blaming me just because I wasn’t by your side at the time?”
He then glared harshly at Lisa. “What about her? She was there when you woke up. There were only the three of us in that home. Couldn’t it have been Lalisa?”
“There’s no reason for her to do such a thing!” Tzuyu raised her voice.
“There is!” Sungjae responded in anger. “She wants to tear us apart and is willing to use whatever means she has to wrong me! That’s her reason!”
Lisa could not help but admire Sungjae. “Interesting, really interesting. How did I become the bad person here?”
Sungjae glanced at Lisa and asked weakly. “Miss Lee, I’ve never ever offended you. Why do you insist on breaking up Tzuyu and I? Don’t you know? We are both compatible in terms of family background, education, talent, and many other areas. It could be said that we’re a match made in heaven.”
Lisa could not say openly that in her past life, she had seen how unfortunate Tzuyu was, to be with this beast.
