Thus, he turned and headed into the bathroom.

Lisa quickly applied the medicine on herself. As she felt the soreness in her body ease away, she got up to put on her clothes.

At the same time, Jungkook stepped out of the bathroom dressed impeccably in a suit. He watched Lisa sit before the vanity to apply a layer of medication on her face.

He approached her from behind. “Your skin has fully recovered. Do you still need the medicine?”

She nodded. “It’s good for my skin if I use it for a few more days.”

Jungkook also preferred if others could not look at her stunning beauty. Hence, he did not stop her.

After she was done, he lifted her into a bridal carry. “Let’s go and eat.”

She wasn’t sure how many times he had carried her in this manner.

With a powerful and strong man like him, being held in a bridal carry became a common occurrence for her.

After their meal, Jungkook sat in the living room with Lisa in his arms. They watched the television together.

The shows he watched were all related to military or financial affairs.

Lisa wasn’t especially fond of these in her previous life. However, she had developed a liking for them over a period of time.

She laid quietly in his arms.

Jungkook lifted his wrist to check the time. It was 1:30 in the afternoon.

He recalled her mentioning that she did not wish to delay her studies. “Do you have classes this afternoon? Do you need to go to school?”

Lisa had two different lessons later in the afternoon. However, her body was extremely weak and sore. She did not feel like going anywhere. “No.”

Butler Zhao did not catch their conversation. He approached at this moment to say respectfully. “Miss Lee, you previously instructed me to remind you at 1:30 p.m. that you have two classes in the afternoon today. It’s time to go.”

Lisa glared at Zhao Cheng’s expressionless face.

She had just lied to Jungkook. Why was he throwing her fucking face away like that?

She had given these instructions to Zhao Cheng yesterday.

At the time, she was extremely tired and wasn’t sure when Jungkook would return. She was worried that she would be reluctant to attend class today and had intentionally instructed the butler to remind her.

Zhao Cheng did not understand her reaction. “Soobin, the chauffeur whom Young Master has arranged for you, is waiting in the front yard, Miss Fang.”

“Leave us. Lisa won’t be attending her lessons today.” Jungkook decided.

“Understood.” Butler Zhao backed away respectfully.

Jungkook narrowed his cold and stern eyes.

He gave Lisa an unhappy glance. “Don’t you have classes? You dared to lie to me?”

“I…” She knew he hated it the most when people lied to him and wasn’t certain if he was actually angry. “It’s all your fault. I just wanted to spend more time with you.” She tugged on his sleeve sweetly.

“I’ll grant it.” Jungkook’s voice carried the power he was born with.

That she was willing to delay her studies for him was also a sign that she cared for him.

Normally, anyone who dared to lie to Jungkook would have their lives ended instantly.

He sighed internally once more. She was indeed his only weakness.

Lisa was startled. She almost mistook herself for a pitiful concubine that was begging the emperor for a favour.

She suddenly felt upset. She held onto his firm shoulders. “Hmph, if you’re not upset, why is your expression so cold?”

“How is my expression cold?” His features were always cold without much change. In truth, he felt that he had revealed his warmest side to her.

“Nevermind.” She took in his stern features. He was born with the powerful charisma of a king.

Even when he wasn’t upset, he appeared stern to the point where it was frightening.

Whenever he was actually upset, it always ended with someone losing their lives.

Lisa brought her phone out and habitually scrolled through the school forum.
