Several hundred kilometres away from the city centre, Jungkook had just ended his inspection of one of Sheng Shi Group’s important projects. He was currently resting in one of the break rooms.

He opened his phone to see two new messages.

The first was a photo of Jaehyun watching Lisa emotionally.

The second was a short video which held a simple conversation:

[Her old man will show her the consequences!] Jaehyun’s angry expression was captured in it.

He continued watching it.

[Brother Jae, what do you mean by that? Are you planning on punishing her or taking her?]

[The one you’re thinking of.]

After watching the video, Jungkook’s handsome complexion instantly turned green. He commanded darkly. “Instruct the people at the city centre to send someone to teach Jung Jaehyun a lesson!”

He even dared to have thoughts about his woman. He must have gotten sick of living!

“Yes, sir.” A bodyguard immediately carried out his orders.

Jungkook stared at the unsaved number. He had already received a third message from this person. He narrowed his cold eyes.

It seems like someone was watching Jaehyun and Lisa’s actions to secretly send him news.

The corner of his lips rose coldly.

After returning to the dormitory, Lisa began missing her other half. She sent Jungkook a message on WeChat:

[What are you up to?]

Jungkook responded in seconds.

[When I’m not around, you have to be obedient!]

[I’m very obedient. I spend all my time missing you.]

She sent the message and accompanied it with a sticker of a warm smile.

[Is that so?]

It was a neutral response.

Lisa was dissatisfied. He didn’t even respond that he missed her too. She decided to video call him.

He accepted the call.

She saw that Jungkook was seated on a large, red wood chair. He was dressed in a black suit and his posture was upright. His aura was powerful.

However, his eyes were slightly bloodshot from fatigue. “Jungkook, why don’t you sleep for a little while?”

She had been upset with his response.

However, at the sight of his exhausted figure, she recalled Soobin telling her that Jungkook had stayed up all night yesterday. He even rushed back from abroad to spend thirty minute with her.

Her heart instantly softened.

Jungkook nodded slightly. It had been forty-eight hours since he last slept. It was time that he rested a little.

He took in her slender figure and her little face covered in medicinal paste. Only her sparkling eyes could be seen. He wasn’t sure why, but his heart moved only for her. He coldly instructed her. “I’ll only be home in five days. Wait for me!”

She made an ‘okay’ gesture.

Deep down, she was disappointed.

Her great-aunt had left today.

Unfortunately, he was too busy and she still needed to wait for five more days.

“Aren’t you hanging up?” She lifted her delicate brows.

He could not bear to hang up. Although he felt this way on the inside, he coldly reminded her. “Don’t forget your promise in five days!”

Her expression turned bashful. Thankfully, the medicine prevented him from seeing her blush. “I know.”

She did not wish to disturb his rest. After taking a proper look at his handsome appearance, she took the initiative to end the call.

Jungkook noticed her loving gaze right before the call ended. His frozen heart instantly turned warm.

There was space for him in her heart. She did miss him!

The hint of unhappiness caused by Jaehyun’s one-sided feelings instantly disappeared.

Lisa laid down on her bed and held her hand out to count the days it would take for Jungkook to return.

“Oh no, Brother Jae was tossed into the lake!” Someone shouted from outside the dormitory.

Lisa approached the balcony to see a crowd of people running towards the school lake.
