Part 69

Meghana: Toh yeh sab kya hai? (pointing out towards the clothes on couch, ground and pretty much everywhere)

Manyata: Hum ab dinner ke liye kya pehne? Humara rishta pakka ho raha hai aur humare paas koi proper kapde nahi hai.

Neha: Baat toh tum sahi keh rahi ho. Tumhe abhi achche kapde chahiye honge. (thoughtfully)

Meghana: Nehu, hum wo package leke aaye?

Neha: Ha wo sahi rahega Megha. Wo package blue suitcase mein hai.

Manyata: Aap dono humare liye kuch leke aaye ho? (hopefully)

Neha: Wo sirf ethnic wear hai. Kuch grand expect mat karna. Abhi tumhara rishta pakka nahi hua hai.

Manyata: Waise bhi sab ko pata hi hai, Bhabhi. Uday ne khud hume bataya.

Just then, Meghana comes with a package and gives it to Manyata. She rips the plastic package open and gasps looking at the outfit.

The outfit was a blue asymmetrical kurti with silver embroidery work, along with white palazzo with net detailing. The outfit was not too flashy but was also not dull for the ocassion.

Manyata: This outfit's perfect for the ocassion. Bhabhi, thank you so much. I love you both. (hugging them)

Neha: (giggling) I love you too. Chalo get ready fast, Mannu. Ab dinner mein sab se best lagna hai ya nahi.

Meghana in the meanwhile arranges her clothes which were thrown on couch and hangs according to colour and fabric.

After fifteen minutes, Manyata comes out of the dressing room, fully ready for the dinner. Meghana styles her hair by straightening and then twisting her hair into a messy freshbraid.

Here, Unnati and Vj were preparing shagun ki thaali for Manyata. Unnati was so happy that Vj suddenly felt they had time travelled to the past when Manyata (I) and Uday (I) were alive.

Uday and Manyata sit side by side in their usual positions and at the same time, Adarsh and Srutija give a dramatic welcome to her, addressing her repeatedly as their 'Bhabhi Sa'.

Manyata gives some shy smiles but silently has her food, listening to elders' random conversations on their newest charity ventures.

After their chaotic yet peaceful dinner, everyone were still seated at the dining room while the maids clear up the table and serve them desserts and beverages.

Unnati: Gauri ji, ab sab jaante hi hai ki Chotte aur Manny ke shaadi ki baat ho rahi hai.

Gauri and Shantanu nod in agreement as all the chatter dies down in the huge room. The servants were just standing at the four corners of the room, keeping a neutral face, waiting for taking the orders from the DJC and Sisodia families.

Jay: Ab suspense ko yahi chodd dete hai aur hum hi keh dete hai, hume yeh rishta manzoor hai. (Unnati nods eagerly)

Vj: Ji. Hume toh Manny pehle se hi Uday ke liye pasand thi. Hum yahi hope kar rahe the ki DJC mein internship ke baad unn dono se iss rishte ki baat karte hai. (smiling tenderly)

Amala and Gauri smile at the ladies as they feel overwhelmed with their love towards their daughter.

Unnati: Hum toh chahte hai ki jald se jald yeh shaadi teh kiya jaye aur jaldi se Manny ko hum iss gharane ki bahu banakar, inka swagat kiya jaye.

Manyata frowns looking at Neha and Meghana. Uday gets satisfied with his mother's demand as he doesn't want to delay their wedding, even for another moment.

Gauri: Maaf kijiye ga Unnati ji, hum log itni jaldi yeh shaadi nahi karwa sakte. (Amala, Shantanu and the twins nod at her declaration)

Uday gets serious on their opposition while Manyata looks expectantly at her family.
