chapter 69

As already mentioned this was never suppose to happen but I don't want to end the story so hopefully it's not a little too much. I'm not going to drag this section out though

Emilia didn't know what to do. She didn't want to get manuplated again. She had spent her whole life being manipulated.
She knew she would have Antonio and her friends, her family.

But the picture would open her up to possible bullying. People would see her as weak.

She wasn't exactly afraid of her family but she would be lying if she didn't acknowledge the fact they intimated her occasionally, and when they were angry , they could be considered scary. However she knew they were powerful, she didn't want to be weak compared to them. She wanted to fit in.

She couldn't concentrate throughout the day and when she finally had a class with Antonio she avoided him. Antonio gave her space thinking she needed it because of her mental state.

Lunch time came and when Antonio joined his friends without Emilia they grew confused. The group always saw them enter together most days and usually holding hands. Even Zach knew his cousin and her friend were practically together.

Dante who saw Emilia was missing got up straight away. Matteo watched on, he was ready to go find his sister but he didn't think much of it and he did enjoy watching Dante and Sophia not to mention every girl watching with jealousy.

"Where is Emilia" Dante asked her friends.

"She's doing some extra studying in the library" Antonio replied covering for his friend.

"What is she studying because I know for a fact she completed all her homework last night" Dante questioned.

"Probably today's homework " Antonio replied carefully not wanting to anger him.

Dante knew something was going on. He didnt know what but yesterday Antonio had walked with her and now she was nowhere in sight.

She never studied alone unless she wanted space.

"Tell me straight. Don't bullshit me. Is my sister okay?" He asked.(demanded)

Antonio didn't want to lie but it was her decision. "You need to ask her that "

It wasn't a yeah and that's what concerned him so he went straight to the library, Matteo following close behind. When he saw his brother leave he practically dismissed the girls and went after his brother. If something had happened, he had to know.

And they found Emilia studying. Dante felt a little relieved, Matteo was confused. He didn't really see me a problem.

"Not having lunch with your friends today then" Dante asked taking a seat next to her, Matteo took a seat next to her as well.

"I just need to study, get better grades, I'll eat with them tommorow"

Dante was aware of how much stress she was under after last night's conversation. Although that was partly true, it wasn't what had got her feeling like shit.

"Okay well we are here now and if you're stressing let us help you study. Despite being popular with the girls I'm actually quite intelligent " Dante said.

"Just a shame you're not popular with Sophia " Matteo added making Emilia smile.

"Id rather become a drop out then associate myself with her" he snapped.

Despite this the two brothers helped their sister study but both saw something was troubling her. Matteo figured it was how much work she had to complete but Dante knew her slightly better, he knew there was something more.

"Has Antonio hurt you" he asked.

Matteos eyes widened in shock at Dante's question, then a murderous glare appeared.

"No. He would never" Emilia quickly said.

"If he ever hurts you, you need to tell us. We will sort it" Matteo said.

Emilia shuddered, Matteo was never so serious. Maybe he was more like Dante then she presumed.

"Matteo is right. We can't have you getting hurt" he said.

And for a moment she was about to tell them but the bell rang signalling end of lunch.

The brothers made sure to walk their sister to class. Dante sent Matteo off but he only waited a little further away once they got to the classroom. "We meant it in the library. Whatever has happened, it's okay to tell us. If it's just some stupid high school drama, dad doesn't even need to know" he reassured her.

Again she thought about telling big couldn't bring herself too. She was suppose to be healing.

In class she received a message off an unknown number which she quickly realised it was from lilly.

Lilly : I'm sure you wouldn't want everyone to know how your mother died

Emilia froze. How the hell did a random student know this.

Emilia : my mother died of natural causes.

It's what she told everyone.

Lilly : I don't really care I'll just tell everyone you did it. You will be known as a murderer. Or maybe your precious Damon did it?

Emilia relaxed she didn't know.

She would never let anyone know what truly happened.

Lilly:  or maybe I'll show the whole school how pathetic you are

Lily then sent a picture of her bleeding out in the school corridor and another of her having a breakdown.

Lilly : tell anyone and you will regret it.

Emilia couldn't go through the maniplation again but what choice did she have?

She deleted the messages and blocked Lilly. But once she got back onto contacts a familiar one came up.
