Ernest was talking with someone on phone and then his gaze fell on her as she was trying to apply bandage on her wounded hand, but couldn't able to do it properly.

"Aah," She winced as she pressed her wound mistakenly.

"Why are you so careless?" He snatched bandaged from her while shoving his phone in pocket and applied carefully on her hand, "Yesterday also because of your carelessness that incident happened to you. Do you know that?"

A big lump formed in her throat remembering yesterday incident, she gulped and continued, "That ... tomorrow—"

"Just shut your mouth!" Her body shook  and she hurriedly took her hand back from his hold as he had bandaged her wound already," Who told you to go alone in the middle of the night when that policeman was ready to drop you home?"

She continued avoid eye contacting with him, "That... home was only a few minutes away, so I thought..."

"So Ms. Ruhi Bansal thought she could go alone. Right?" She nodded raising her head gradually, Ernest grasped either side of her shoulders, "Have you lost your mind, Ruhi? Do you know how much I got sca—"

"Sorry," She said removing his hands from her shoulders without looking at him, "I didn't know it would all turn out like this and thank you for last night, and now you don't need to show pity and sympathy to me because I'm fine."

Hearing the words of pity and sympathy again, he got mad and locked her in the cage near the wall, "Ruhi, who told you that I am feeling pity and sympathy for you?"

She looked at him with narrowed eyes, "so why did you suddenly get change?"

He cupped her face gently and leaned over her figure as she is short than him, "Ruhi, I am really sorry. I am really very ashamed for my behavior as I misunderstood you for the whole time. I know I hurt you but please don't mistake my care for pity or sympathy. Please!"

She didn't say ahead but she wanted to know when did he find out the truth. She asked gazing at him, "when did you find out the truth?"

"I came to know at Mr. Vikram's party and I wanted to apologize to you at the same time. So I hurriedly got downstairs to found you because I knew you would have also come in the party but what I saw there you were struggling in that ba*tard's hold and not even yelling at him for his misbehavior as like you always screamed at me. That's why I got so frustrated with you there and  brought you here with me in Delhi as I wanted to clear all the misunderstanding between us. But I think, things got more worse after coming here as you were not ready to hear me and then Mrs. Kamaljeet–

He didn't want to talk about her so he paused looking at her and continued, "Ruhi, I will never force you to forgive me so please don't forgive me until you feel. I was wrong the first time because I judged you before knowing and mistook your character. So you have all right to forgive me or not."

She didn't say anything and shifted her gaze down, while he was thinking looking at her–

One more thing I want to tell you as you don't need to continue this job anymore because I am giving my land to those farmers forever as I have already find other land so I don't need that land. So I am giving them for free but now I can't tell you as you will think I am doing all this for your forgiveness. But I will tell you when you will forgive me.

He thought staring at her, his gaze shift on her eyes to nose and the glossy pink lips and was staring at them continuously. He didn't know why he was feeling like that but he wanted to feel those lips again but refusing to his lame thought he called her with his deep husky voice- 'Ruh' keeping his forehead gently against her making her entire body freeze for second. Her heart started pounding rapidly with his this much closeness as his lips were inching away from her nose as she can feel his warm breathe against her.
