Chapter 26

Alex POV

The next morning John and go downstairs to quickly have breakfast before we need to leave. We when go to the kitchen johns siblings are still there, and we receive looks from all of them "you guys had fun last night" Peggy comments, smirking as she helps Martha with the food.

John walks over and grabs some food for me then himself "yep and I'll have even more fun when you fuckers aren't in the same house which makes double the action you've had in over 9 Months" he smiles and sits down

Peggy and Martha exchange looks and Peggy smiles "yeah you're probably right" she hums. Holy shit they did something last night.  I dunno if they hooked up but something definitely happened.

I sit next to John and start eating "so are we really all just gonna pretend John being with a man is normal now?" Henry asks. Can he not just go home if he's unhappy. John doesn't even look up from his food he just flips him off

"Yeah we are cuz there's literally nothing wrong with it, and I don't know why you're surprised Alexander has been staying in johns room since they were like 17" Martha replies, joining us at the table as well peggy.

"Aunt Peggy, why are boys allowed to be together but girls can't be?" Piper asks. I glance over at Peggy

"Oh well girls can be together if they both want to be, but just like boys they would have to keep it a secret or make a living out of him" Peggy smiles

"Peggy! Don't encourage her to make a career out of it that's disgusting"  John says to Peggy

"Oh please, James Henry, you've probably payed to see two girls making out right?" Peggy asks, neither of them say anything "exactly, it's not discussing it's just lesbians making money, don't be homophobic"

"I don't care that that it's both girls I don't want you encouraging putting your sexuality on display for creepy old men" I gotta agree with John there, I don't think womens bodies should be on display.

"Fine, but you know it's only an option cuz you gender decided that gay is bad unless it's girls in front of you" she shrugs and starts eating

"Oh John doesn't speak on behave of the male race please don't include him in our decision making" Henry points out, does he think that makes himself look better? Cuz he really just makes him responsible for the worlds problems

"Yeah it's right I don't like to associate myself with them" John adds

"Oh shut up you still have white, rich, male privilege" Martha replies.

"Papa is there something wrong with being a boy?" Ever asks, looking up at John

"Of course not sweetheart, cuz you're gonna grow up to be the kindest man and there'll be nothing wrong with that" he kisses his head and smiles

"Alright we should probably get going" i eventually say, standing up and clearing mine and John's plates

John nods and puts our bag at the door then goes to the kids "so you know aunt Peggy and aunt Martha are gonna look after this week which means I want you all to be super nice to them, me and Alex will just me 20 minutes away so if you reallyyyy need to see us then you can ask one of your aunts to take you. Next Sunday we're all gonna go into town together but until then we won't see you" he explains,
The kids nod along as he talks before hugging him goodbye,  "Peggy if you need money for food or you take them out there's some coins in my room but don't waist it"

"I know I know now get your ass out of here" she says, hurrying him to the door. I laugh and take his hand and in the other I hold our bag, we decided to just share one bag cuz it's only a week and we'll only go out to get food so we don't need heaps of clothes. 

We eventually get to the hotel and John checks us in before we go up to the room. It's a pretty big room with two bedrooms each with queen sized beds I guess they assumed we'd sleep in different beds. "This is a really nice place thank you for booking it" i walk over to me and wrap my arms around his waist.

"Only the best for you" he replies, kissing me softly then walks to the bed and flops onto it "now tell me you got up to the last four months"

I smile and lay down on my stomach, propping myself up with my arms "I pretty much just worked the whole time, other then that I hung out with Peggy a bit went to the tavern or something. What about you?"

He shrugs "theres not much time to do anything but work, a few times I went out with the kids on a Sunday or something, other then that literally nothing, it's boring without you" he leans over and pecks my lips.

"Well don't worry I'm here to stave you from your boredom" i grin and sit up cross legged. I'm trying not to think about Jefferson, at least not this week, I owe it to John to make sure he enjoys this week. "You know your hair looks really good when it's not tied up, you should wear it out more" i say, Untying his hair

He blushes slightly which is I think my favourite thing ever, it's adorable "I hate it out it's so messy"

"Well I think it's perfect" i tuck a few strands behind his ear "I think you're perfect"
