One's next course of action will be to utilise Subject 21236's current knowledge pool to further alter the Fatui revolution.
It was time. I knew the location, I knew the system it used. I was ready to exact my revenge on the 2nd Fatui Harbinger.
All I required now was a reason to get out of this ruin guard, but that wasn't going to be easy. I have a feeling asking for a change in scenery will arise the doctor's suspicion. And on top of that, he probably won't leave my side, which could make it nearly impossible for me to safely travel back to Sumeru City.
What I could do instead is try my hand at escaping again. But that could prove fruitless, if I was caught in the busiest section of the Akademiya library then what are my chances of carelessly braving the Sumeru wilderness, and actually surviving or managing to successfully escape Fatui clutches?
In that case, I need some form of distraction. Something to sway the Fatui guards' attention, creating a bubble of opportunity for me to pull a 180 on a Fatui soldier and force them to take me to the city.
Conveniently, I think I might have an idea of what I could use for this so-called distraction. There was a multitude of items in Dottore's corner of belongings that looked to be reliable distraction mechanisms, save for all the paper he had.
Placing the latest entry piece down on the stack of papers I had rummaged through, I bent over to view Dottore's personal stash of torture tools, laboratory equipment, books and cans of food. If I'm correct, I should be able to use these torture tools to slice the necks of the guards out front. There are two of them so stealth is necessary for this to work. Looking up from the random items, I turned my head to face the soldiers outside of my metal prison. They both had their backs turned, looking exceptionally bored out of their minds and with their weapon in their holsters no less. Perfect, they wouldn't suspect a thing if I were to disarm one of them and charge the other. All those weeks of patience and obedience paid off. Turning back to the pile, I began to scan through Dottore's other items available. An Akasha terminal is an earpiece, as stated in his documents. So then, this must be one of them.
Grin slowly stretching across my features, I pulled out a white earpiece with a green leaf-like centre. Maybe it's one of the modified ones? Even if it wasn't I'm sure the right one would be stored with the newly developed chip.
It was all coming together, every atom in my body was screaming with joy but I knew I couldn't celebrate just yet. It was only the beginning of my plan and I did not want such an opportunity to go to waste.
As for the rest of the Fatui soldiers outside of the ruin guard, I'm going to have to guess how many there are and hope for the best by using canned food as bait. Maybe, if there are any wild tigers around or those weird little one-eyed creatures, I could disrupt their peace and force the soldiers to fight them. Then that would leave me with the chance to steal a weapon and threaten one of them.
I carefully put the Akasha terminal back where it belonged, alongside Dottore's other items, and breathed in relief. There were some gaps in knowledge and my contingency plan may not be foolproof but it was a step in the right direction, nonetheless.
Spinning around as I lifted myself away from the ground, I calmly moved over to the control panels above and tapped on the few switches available, vacantly staring ahead as I relish in my excitement and trepidation. I cannot rush this, being hasty is what led to my recapture last time, I have to wait it out until tomorrow.
I have been so patient, just a little longer and I will finally have what I want.
My freedom.
My revenge.
