"Mom I'm dropping out of school" I say. Her jaw drops as she stares at me. "Why..what" she says shocked. "My friends all dropped out,even Ashton so why shouldn't I" I say. "Wait Ashton dropped out of school" she says. "Yep" I say. "Does his mom know" she asks. "Of course" I say. "You know what Jadeyn do what ever you want" she says. I know she's probably upset that I'm her only kid and now she'll never have a successful child but I want to be with my friends. Me and Calum aren't the tightest yet but we get along. Now me and Luke that's another story. My mom knows Luke. I mean he lived with us for a month. But she doesn't know I'm dating a boy with purple hair. I pull my 11th grade yearbook and look for Michael Clifford. I find his picture and notice he has green hair in the picture. I walk into the kitchen with my yearbook. "Hey..um mom what if I told you he was my friend" I say pointing to the picture of Michael. "He looks like a freak" she says. "But maybe he's more than a friend" I say. "You're dating him" she says pointing at the picture. I nod my head and she sighs. "What other secrets are you keeping from me" she says. "I have a tattoo" I say. "Jadeyn Nicole Bates what is your problem actually you know what go to your room" she sighs. I walk to my room and slam the door. I pull out my phone and text Michael
J-hey
M-helloooooo
J-can I stay at your place?
M-why
J-because I told my mom I'm dropping out of school and I have a tattoo and ugh
M-k be there in a few minutes
J-don't go to my front door come around to my bedroom window
M-ok
I pull a back pac out from under my bed and start throwing random things in it. I hear a knock on my window and see Michael standing there. I wave and open up the window. He looks at the bag I packed and starts throwing random things in it just like me. "Okay I need my laptop where is it" I say. "Right here" he says putting it in my bag. "Thanks" I say. "You're so cute when you're confused" he smiles. I feel my cheeks turn red. I shove some pillows under my blankets on my bed so it looks like I'm sleeping there. Then we slip out the window. "Where's your car" I ask. "I parked it a few blocks down so your mom didn't see me" he says. "Ohhhh smart" I say.
