36 - Love

Yoongi's P.O.V.

I was so engrossed in producing a song that I was working on that I didn't notice that someone knocked on my door.

"Hey, hyung!" - Namjoon

"Yoongi! I see that you're working hard!" - Hoseok

Turning around in my chair, I could instantly see how their facial expressions changed. I was taken back by Hoseok's loud gasp leaving me confused.

Suddenly, It started hitting me.

My lip.

"Hyung...what happened to you?"

Quickly I rummaged through my head for a convincing lie.

"I just..."

Stopping mid sentence, as I look at both of them who were clearly worried about me, I suddenly felt guilty and bad for wanting to lie to them. They were my closest friends, my family. It was about time that I told them the truth of what's actually going on. I've kept this secret form them and the rest of the guys for such a long time that they deserved to know what was going on with Jungkook.

"Go call the rest of the guys. We all need to talk about Jungkook."

"Are you finally going to tell us what happened?" - Namjoon

Once, I made sure that everyone was here, I lean back in my chair, crossing my arms and legs and just cut to the chase.

"Jungkook hit me."

Silence.

They were all looking at me without saying a single word.

"What?!" They all ask simultaneously.

I didn't waste time on explaining to them what happened. From me calling Jungkook, going to his apartment, the fight, and finding him drunk. They were all shocked to say the least.

"Why was Jungkook drunk in the first place? He rarely ever gets drunk." - Jin

Here we go.

I sit their silently, as I close my eyes and prepare for what I'm about to say next. I always knew that they were going to find out eventually, but I never knew that I was going to be the one to have to break the news. There were no right words on how to say it, so I decided to just give it to them straight.

"It's because of Ally."

Jimin's P.O.V.

The second that Yoongi said that he wanted to talk to all of us and noticed that Jungkook wasn't here, I knew what was going to happen. He was going to reveal about Jungkook's relationship with Ally. But as I watched him struggle to find the right words, I'd thought I'd make it easier for him and do it insead.

The guys all looked at me confused and switched their views between Yoongi and I.

"Are you saying he's still upset that she left? I mean I get it, they were close, but why would he get drunk over that." - Hoseok

"There's something that I've been meaning to tell you all, but I was waiting for the right time. I guess I'll have to say it now." - Yoongi

"Keeping what from us?" - Namjoon

The energy of the room shifted completely. At this point, they all knew that it was something serious.

"Jungkook and Ally were involved romantically."

There was silence for a couple of seconds, until everything sunk in for them and they all gasped. All at once, they started asking questions and expressed their shock and how they didn't see that coming. Yoongi managed to calm them down before he could start explaining.

"It all started when she was still working as his stylist."

Everyone sits quietly, trying to process all this sudden information and put the pieces together.

"They've been in a relationship this whole time?" - Jin

"Not really. They dated for a short amount of time, but they soon broke it off a little after she became a trainee."

"Why?" - Tae

"Trainees can't date." Namjoon reminded him.

"He broke it off eventually, so it wouldn't affect her. But he didn't tell her that."

Now, I was also looking at Yoongi confused.

"He broke up with her with the reason that he didn't love her anymore and just wanted to focus on his career. Obviously, that was a lie because he still cared about her. After that, things didn't go very well. They stopped talking to each other completely since she was so upset and eventually didn't want anything to do with him."

"No way..." - Hoseok

"What happened then?" - Namjoon

I knew that something happened between them two for them to stop talking, but I never knew exactly why. I didn't want to ask her since I knew that it was something that made her upset.

"I started getting close to her."

All eyes were on me now.

"I liked Ally. Well...I still do actually. I backed off as he went after her, but I eventually noticed that they stopped talking. So, I took my chance to get close to her, even if it was just as a friend."

Looking back now, maybe I should've taken the chance to get close to her than just a friend. Maybe, she would still be here, but with me.

"You like Ally too?!"

Taehyung points at me as he asks and I nod my head.

"And you knew about this?" Now he was directing himself towards Yoongi, to which he only nods his head.

"But." - Yoongi

"There's more?!" - Jin

"Jungkook, later on told Ally the truth. It took a while for her to come around and forgive him, but eventually she did and things started getting better for them, but they decided to remain as friends until she debuts."

As I let those words sink in, I felt my heart shatter a bit. This whole time, as I got closer to her, I really thought that I was one step closer to winning her heart. But reality was is that her heart was still with Jungkook.

"It's been like this for a little over a year now, but as far from that, that's all I know."

"You knew this whole time too?"

Everyone's attention was on me again.

"I didn't know about them remaining as friends and waiting..."

I sat there wondering if perhaps I didn't try hard enough. I thought that she trusted me to tell me anything, just how I trusted her.

The guys continue to talk about Jungkook and Ally, but I couldn't focus on the conversation as my head was filled with Ally even more as it already was. My attention was soon caught as I heard Yoongi say a couple of words.

"I've never seen Jungkook head over heels for someone like Ally. He's deeply in love with her."

Deeply in love with her.

Funny. I'm also deeply in love with her too. So deeply in love that all of this was killing me slowly, but I couldn't let anyone know.

Life has been busy for me and it's all over the place especially after the enlistment announcement 😭 But anyways, let's cry together and enjoy another way overdue chapter 🥲
