"We got the magestone! Now let's get outta here!" Grim yelled, pulling on y/n's hair

"Roger that!" Ace agreed, already making his way out

"MYYY STOOOOOOONE!" The monster yelled out causing y/n to look at it sadly again.

They all ran towards the mirror, through the dark Forrest, it had turned to night while they had been getting the stone.

"Are you kiddin' me?! It's still coming! It pushed off all that weight!" Ace complained, readying his magic pen.

"Ooooooooogh...! Giiive it baaaaack...!" The monster screeched at the group

"It's too fast! It's about to catch us!" Deuce panicked, picking up his pace

"I'd it bad that I feel kind of sorry for it? Maybe we should give the stone back, it seems sad..."
y/n mumbled, looking at the monster in pity

"Are you kidding me! No way!!! It's kill or be killed!" Grim yelled, pulling the girls braid up so she didn't trip while running.

"Aw, fine! Let's just smash the thing. Try not to wet yourself, Deucey!" Ace taunted waving his magic pen and shooting his magic at the monster

"Same to you, Ace!" Deuce called before also joining the fight

"I'm gonna show ya why they call me Grim the Great!" Grim called from atop y/n's head, blowing fire out of his mouth since his arms were occupied

The 3 boys shot their powers at the monster, with ace blowing it with winds, Grim setting it on fire, and Deuce dropping cauldrons on it.

Until they finally finished it off, with the monster bursting into ashes and y/n's eyes welling up with tears because of the brutal fight.

"Pant* *Pant*" deuce panted, bent over, his hands resting on his knees while he stood.

"Is it... over?" Ace questioned, also hunched over and panting like Deuce

"I think... we won? I think we did it!" Grim cheered

"All right!"

" Woohoo!" Deuce and Ace celebrated

"Gimme a victory high-five!" Grim yelled hopping off y/n's head

"Yeeeah!" Grim, Ace, and Deuce all yelled, giving each other high fives while y/n sulked in the corner because they couldn't befriend the monster.

"That poor monster, he never got his magic stone back..." y/n sat in a corner under a tall tree

"C'mon y/n! Get over it and come here" ace spoke, rolling his eyes and putting his arm over her shoulders

"I guess fighting monsters brings people closer" y/n spoke, observing the group now

"Uh... I don't think that had anything to do with it." Deuce immediately shot the idea down

"Yeah! Spare us the clichés, y/n!" Ace groaned

"There's no "together" here! We won 'cause of me!
This is all from me bein' a magical genius!" Grim boasted and y/n frowned and picked him up, pinching his cheeks to stop him from being rude.

"O-Oi mSTmOmP TmHAT" Grim tried speaking while y/n pulled his cheeks

"No can do kitty" y/n mumbled still pulling his cheeks playfully

"Y'know... I hate to admit it, but... We mostly won because of your plan." Ace finally spoke, turning to the long haired female

"Yeah... if you hadn't managed to keep your cool and tell us all what to do, we never would have got this magestone.
Now I won't get expelled.
And wow, is THAT a relief!" Deuce spoke with a wide and thankful smile

"I'm just glad no one got hurt." Y/n spoke with a shy smile

"Yeah, yeah, lessons were learned, et cetera. Can we just go home already? I'm wiped." Ace butted in, using y/n to keep him up due to her being shorter than him.

"Usin' all that magic made me hungry!
Huh? What's this?" Grim spoke, noticing a black rock on the ground

"Is that a part of the monster we just beat?
It looks like... a magestone? But it's black as coal! I've never seen one like that before." Deuce examined the black rock

"Sniff* *Sniff* What IS this? It smells amazing!" Grim picked up the rock and put it in front of his face

"Are you insane?" Ace spoke, disgusted

"Must be some kinda fancy monster candy that it was hidin' from us! If this tastes half as good as it smells..." Grim commented, looking at it from all sides

*Chomp* he threw the rock in his mouth and took a bite, swallowing it

"Spit it out! Out! Bad kitty, Bad kitty!!!" Y/n picked Grim up and hit his back, trying to get the talking cat to regurgitate the black rock

"MYAAAH!" Grim suddenly yelled, freezing in his position, causing y/n to panic and get her magic hair ready

"Are you okay?!" Deuce questioned a bit disturbed

"That's what you get for eating trash!" Ace huffed at the cat

"Oooooogh... Urrrgggh... That... was AMAZING!" Grim suddenly unfroze and started fawning over the rock

"What?!" Both Ace and Deuce yelled in disgust while y/n just casually put her hair back down

"Rich in flavor and full-bodied... Like sweet, fragrant flowers burstin' into bloom on my tongue.
A whole field of 'em! Right in my mouth!" Grim proceeded to describe how the rock tastes to all of them while making grabbing hands at the girl, wanting to be picked up

"Gross. Monsters must have real weird tastes." Ace spoke watching as y/n picked the cat up and placed him on her head.

"You might be onto something there...
Most humans don't take random stuff they find on the ground and just pop it into their mouths" Deuce concluded in disgust

"Are you sure you're okay?" Y/n spoke, scratching under Grims chin causing him to purr

"Myah ha ha ha! Man, was that great!
Don't worry about me. I don't got a weak stomach like you humans do." Grim spoke proudly.

"Hmph. We'll see if you're so smug when you're sick later tonight." Ace spoke annoyed with the cat

"Okay, let's pull ourselves together. We need to get this magestone to the headmage!" Deuce spoke, cutting them all off.
