Chapter 18 (ㆆᴗㆆ)

"H-hey, monster! I'm uh... I-I'm over here!" Grim yelled trying to get the monster's attention

"  Grrraaawrrr! BEGOOOOONE!" The monster yelled, angrily swiping at the cat

"He's comin' our way! Y/n!" Grim screeched, jumping and hiding into y/ n's hair

They all ran, taking random twists and turns through the mine, hoping to loose the monster

"That's far enough!" Y/n suddenly spoke up, panting, once they were coming near the exit of the mine

"Grrurgh? Thieeef thiiis waaay tooooo... Neeevvva giiive stooones! Neeevvvaaa!" The monster threw a punch, they hadn't noticed that it was also a quick runner

Y/n quickly ducked under the punch and held her frying pan as a shield

"Eep! If it lands one of those punches, we're toast!" Grim yelled, hiding his head in y/n's hair

"Let's lure him as far from the cave as we can." Y/n spoke innocently

"Begooone! BEGOOOOOOONE!" The monster screached

They all proceeded to run again.
Running out of the mine and into the forest.

"We got him a good distance away from the mine!" Grim yelled

"Now's our chance!" Y/n spoke, still hiding behind her choice of weapon.

"You bet. I got this! One extra-large gust of wind, comin' up!" Ace yelled, pulling out his magic pen

"With a side of Grim's blazin'-hot fire! MYAAAH!" Grim yelled from on top of y/n's head.

"Grrraaahhh?!" The monster yelled

"How's that taste?! With my winds fanning them, even Grim's feeble flames can become an inferno!" Ace boasted making grim annoyed

"Whaddaya mean "feeble"?! Ya really don't know how to shut yer mouth, do ya?" Grim yelled at the boy with a tic mark on the side of his head

"The monster's afraid of our flaming tornado!" Y/n inquired, also feeling bad for the monster

"Just stay calm, aim carefully... and pull out the biggest, heaviest thing I can think of...
Get 'em, cauldron!" Deuce spoke to himself

"Gwaaah?!" The monster was squished flat by deuce's heavy cauldron

"Nailed it! The plan's workin'!
Look, y/n!
That monster got smashed flat by a falling cauldron, just like Ace did!" Grim cackled, running his paws through y/n's hair

"Coulda done without the reminder, thanks! This has been one drag after another." Ace complained again

"Quick! While it's distracted, we need to get that magestone!" Deuce spoke and the monster immediately perked up at the mention of the magestone

"Guh?!
Waaait! Nooooooo!" The monster cried and y/n felt a pang in her heart.

The cry was just so sad and y/n couldn't help it, she started walking towards the monster, hoping to comfort it.

Only to be yanked back by ace.

The three boys dragged her back into the mine and ran to get the magestone

" That's it! That's a magestone!" Deuces called, once he had spotted the said stone

"Dooon't tooouch thaaaaat!" The monster called from outside the cave, making y/n's heart clench again, and ace who had seen the expression the female was making again, just shook his head in an irritated manner.

"Uh-oh! Looks like it's nearly wriggled free!" Deuce spoke once they were outside the mine with the gem in hand.

"Hey, Deuce! You gotta add more weight!" Grim called from atop her head

"Y-you mean something heavier?
Uh... I summon thee, cauldron!
And also, uh... Um... Another cauldron!
And a cauldron on top of that! All the cauldrons!" Deuce kept summoning cauldrons, having run out of ideas on things to summon

"Nnngaaaah!" The monster yelled at the added weight.

Y/n turned away from the monster as she didn't want to watch it happen any longer.

"Is that the only thing you know how to summon?!" Ace complained, watching as Deuce kept summoning cauldrons

"Pipe down already! I'm worked up enough as it is!" Deuce yelled back, irritated

"We got the magestone! Now let's get outta here!" Grim commented, pulling on strands of her hair

"Roger that!" Ace yelled, already moving away

"MYYY STOOOOOOONE!" The monster yelled
