Killian and Thea sat on one side of the window table in Bostwick Café which was a couple of minutes from the college. Killian had waited for Thea outside their department because she had to see one of their professors before they left together, both texting their siblings.

Thea let out a breath and Killian turned to her as he took her hand in his.

"Hey," Thea turned to look at him, "There's no need to be nervous."

"You say that now but my brother can be a bit over-protective even if he doesn't seem like he is."

"That's not helping me." Killian said truthfully, "But when he sees how much you matter to me, then I bet he'll come around."

Thea sighed softly,
"You think."

Killian nodded and Thea smiled a little before glancing at the door when she saw a movement in her peripheral.
"There he is."

Killian turned, following her gaze to find a six-foot-something guy smiling at Thea and heading to their table.
"You didn't tell me your brother looked like he could beat me up if he wanted to." He whispered to Thea,

Thea turned to look at him with a wider smile,
"Have your mind about me?"

Killian looked into her eyes and a moment passed between them. He shook his head wanting nothing else but to be with her.
"No. Never."

"Thee?"

They both turned as Atlas got to their table.

"Atlas." Thea stepped to the side getting out to give her brother a hug and Killian watched them as they pulled apart and turned to him, "This is my boyfriend."

Thea smiled at Killian before he shifted his gaze to the brother,
"Killian."

"Atlas." Atlas reached out looking dead straight into his eyes like he was daring him.

The two shook hands before Thea interrupted their quiet male-ego moment even though Killian didn't mind.

"Let's sit," Thea said as she went back to stand next to Killian.

Atlas took the chair across from Killian.
"You're Pierre."

"Pierre?" Killian asked as he glanced at Thea who smiled and shook her head at him,

"Nothing." Thea said, "I just mentioned to Atlas that you were my Pierre."

Killian, whose gaze had been on her, smiled,
"That would make you Marie Curie."

Thea's smile faded as she stared into Killian's eyes feeling like her chest was going to explode. She hadn't told Killian anything about that before so it was surprising that he said it like he'd thought about it before. That made her feel even closer to him for some reason like he was seeing into her soul.

Atlas couldn't for the life of him miss the look that passed between them. One part of him was glad to see that Killian had the same look in his eyes and the other part was afraid of the inevitable on his sister's part.

Atlas cleared his throat breaking the moment between them. They both turned to look at him.
"Thee said you're an artist."

The conversation between Atlas and Killian was occasionally interrupted by Thea when she thought Atlas was going too hard on Killian.

Makenna was late and she knew it and it didn't bother her because she knew she was asked to show up and not be on time. Maybe next time, Killian would be specific.

If there was ever a next time.
She thought as she turned then pushed the door and walked into the Bostwick café. She took a few steps inside and stopped as the door shut behind her, she scanned the café and found Killian next to a girl.

A very pretty one.
Makenna thought as she turned and headed towards their table noticing there was another guy there whose back was to her making conversation with Killian.

"Sorry, I'm late." Makenna said it mostly for the pretty girl and no one else,

Everyone at the table turned to her as she reached to pull out the only empty chair at the table but stopped short when her gaze met his.

Atlas just blatantly stared at her wondering what the fuck was going on and what American girl was doing right there. He couldn't stop the smile that made its way to the corner of his lips.
"You again."

What's the English boy doing here?
Makenna wondered,

"Right back at ya."

"You two know each other." Thea deduced as she glanced from Makenna to Atlas and back again,

Makenna shifted her gaze to Thea when she spoke with the same accent the English boy had.
"You must be..."

"Thea." Killian said, his gaze on his sister who glanced at him for a second,

"Hi." Thea put out her hand towards Makenna with a smile,

Makenna took her hand in hers,
"Mac."

Mac?
Atlas thought as he watched the interaction between them until Makenna took the chair next to him and looked at him. He already had his eyes on her when she turned to look at him.

"My brother, Atlas."

"And my sister." Killian said,

Makenna pulled her gaze away from his piercing blue ones and locked them on her brother.
"I thought it was just going to be the three of us."

So did Atlas but he just smiled,
"Do you have a problem with me being here?"

Makenna turned to look at Atlas who looked at her a second later,
"I don't." She said, "I just would've liked to know what I was walking into."

Atlas wondered if she was serious. He knew she was just as surprised to see him as he was surprised to see her but he was fine with it.

That was simply life. It would throw you something unexpected and you'd have to deal with it.

"I would seriously like to see how you handle life."

"Oh, she doesn't get into anything she hasn't already thought out." Killian interrupted,

Makenna snapped her gaze at him with a raised brow and she was rewarded with a smile from her brother.

"Hm," Thea stuttered, "We're sorry we didn't inform you, we just thought this would be more fun."

"You know like a doubl-ouch." He exclaimed when Thea dug her foot into his,

"Double siblings outing kind of thing." Thea smiled at them, glancing from her brother to Makenna, "Why don't we order something?"

"Yes, please." Killian said,

"I could eat." Makenna leaned back into her seat,

Thea looked at her brother,
"Atlas?"
