ZYLPHA POV

THALASSA comfortable being around of Shion, nakipag laro siya ng chess kay Shion habang nasa hita niya ang dalawang pusa, ang aso naman ay nasa tabi ni Shion tulog. Hindi ako makapaniwala na marunong pala mag laro ng chess si Thalassa, akala ko wala siyang kaalam-alam sa mga bagay-bagay. Ngayon ko lang nalaman na ganun pala ang hobby niya.

Harrison's step brother is quite mysterious. He's a good looking and aristocratic man but behind his good looks he hides something dark.

"Do you admire my brother's beauty?" Harrison cracked my thoughts.

Nasa island counter kaming dalawa ni sir Harrison, naka-upo sa stool at umiinom ng wine. Habang sina Thalassa ay nasa living room nakipag-laro. Yes, kanina pa ako nakatitig sa kanilang dalawa pero hindi ko maiwasan na titigan si Shion. Kinukumpara ko ang mukha niya ngayon sa nakita ko noong nakaraang araw doon sa restaurant. At hindi ako nagkakamali sa iniisip ko, kahit sinabi ko sa sarili ko na hindi siya pero hindi ko maiwasan na isipin siya.

"Huh?" I look at him, "What are you talking about? I'm not falling in love with his beauty. I just have thoughts about him."

"Thoughts?" he frowned. "What are your thoughts about him?"

I look firmly at his eyes, I can't read his mind, I can't read his face, his expression. Harrison knows how to hide his feelings.  "Love, who are you really?" I asked suddenly without thinking.

We use endearment now.

Harrison suddenly flinched and became silent. He looked straight to my eyes and I noticed in my peripheral vision that he clenched his fist. He hid something about me. I swear it.

He chuckled, "What nonsense are you asking about? Are you okay, Zylpha? Haven't you been feeling good since we dated?" Harrison avoided me, "I bet you're fine now according to your best friend, Zylpha. She kept telling me that you're not feeling well since that time at the restaurant where we had a date." He reversed the situation.

"Oh, really?" I smiled. "Did Zylpha keep in touch with you and update you about me?"

He nodded, "Yes, she did. She said, you're in bad condition. You're sick, and she can't allow me to visit you because she doesn't want to infect me with your illness."

I felt relieved, I thought Zylpha had said that I had a bullet wound. "That's right, I'm not feeling at that time but now I'm fine. I don't feel sick now."

"Yeah, I see." He put the glass on the island counter. "It's midnight, don't you plan to sleep? Since it's midnight now, you and Thalassa will sleep here. I have two rooms, one for my brother and the second is for my..." biglang siyang tumigil at tumitig na mabuti sa akin, "for my younger sister."

What's wrong with him?

"Since my sister isn't here, Thalassa can sleep there," he continued.

"O—okay..." nilapag ko ang glass sa island counter at umalis sa kinaupuan saka pinuntahan ang dalawa.

"Thalassa, let's go." Thalassa looked at me frowned. "What?" I said.

She stopped moving her rook, "Are we going to go home now?"

Sinulyapan ko ng tingin si Shion na nakatingin din sa akin, "No, we can't go home because it's late, we'll sleep here. Let's go to your room now so you can rest."

Thalassa nodded quickly, "Okay, just wait a second."

Shion stopped playing chess too, "Are you going to sleep now?" Shion asked Thalassa.

Thalassa nodded, "Yes," she stood up holding her friends, "Good night, Mr. Shawanashi. It is so fun playing with you and your checkmate. I won again, see you tomorrow." Thalassa bow at Shion.
